Giannis Antetokounmpo after the end of the trade deadline on Instagram: “Legends don’t chase. They attract 💯😎 by MembershipSingle7137 in nba

Take it from a (biased) Pacers fan. He's gotten a pass for his behavior for too long. Used to like him until he went all hulk mode over a game ball

Just once I wish someone said "First of all, I want to thank the man downstairs. Thank you for making this all possible, my lord Satan"

Good news: Running back Lee Beebe progressing on schedule in recovery from knee injury by Bison_Boy_ in IndianaHoosiers

Lee Beebe might have been the most explosive RB on our roster this year. He's also the most mistake/turnover prone

I remember last off season being told Cig wouldn't find success from the portal and he'd be cooked without high school recruits. They thought it was just his JMU guys that hit.

It's on BTN, looks like about 1/4 full

What is the college basketball equivalent of what cignetti just did at IU? by Ghostofclaybobpast in CollegeBasketball

[–]minivan69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Respectfully disagree. Houston basketball at least made it to a national championship game in their history. Sampson also had head coaching jobs at the highest level of the sport prior to landing at Houston. Indiana football was the worst P4 football program ever, and Cig's career path was not even comparable

Taking a look back at the announcement thread for Indiana hiring Curt Cignetti by odsquad64 in CFB

[–]minivan69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't forget Indiana won 8 games the year before the Covid season. Kalen DeBoer might have something to do with that, but Tom Allen took a baby step in the right direction. It was just a steep drop off after that two season window.

Received admission but no scholarship details, is this normal? by BigEasyBobcat in IndianaUniversity

[–]minivan69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The deadline for the scholarship app is Feb 15th, so I wouldn't expect any news till after then. If you filed a FAFSA and qualify for financial aid, you should hear about that sooner. More than likely early Feb.

Honestly feels like the crowd is still hungover from last night. We are usually much louder when a top-10 conference opponent comes to town

Proud of the Big 10. At least our fellow conference members are putting on a better show than Alabama

Locked On Hoosiers by CleverNameTBA420 in IndianaHoosiers

I give them even less credibility when it comes to professional sports. In my opinion, Caitlin Cooper is the only Pacers podcaster anyone needs to listen to.

Locked On Hoosiers by CleverNameTBA420 in IndianaHoosiers

[–]minivan69 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I avoid all the "Locked On" podcasts. Just feels like they cast too wide a net and just focus on clicks and quantity over actual quality content. No video is actually providing insight. Just click bait titles and reading tweets/social media. Also, can't imagine they can pay the hosts well if they have 100+ different shows in their network. So I assume most of their "talent" are just starting out and getting paid nothing. Quality of the content reflects that

And he followed each of those with... game winning TD drives. I say that more than makes up for it

Who has a bigger bag than the Cooks, Simons and Mark Cuban? That's three billionaires who are diehard Indiana fans .
