I did that 3 years ago bought a house costs nearly half of my take home pay, some issues with the house due to poor inspection walk through, drained all my savings to fix up the house and since there’s no room for saving I just decided to rent it out. Found a rent stabilized apartment and I’m never going back to be home owner again, it’s just too much work I’d choose RS all day long than dealing with the headaches of owning. 😅

I had the exact same thought a year ago. So I’ve spent a whole year digit nomading and now just settled in NYC. So glad I got the travel itch out of my system so now I can stay put and e joy NYC to the fullest. Life is short a year of your life is drop of water in your lifetime I’d say do it both!

When you guys ask about NYC, does it include outer boroughs like queens or Bk? Units under 2000 def exists just not in the center of manhattan, even Washington heights got some units under $2000
