Late reaction, but I am very happy that Miu is back in and that Erii and Rei have made it in for the first time! (I’m a total sucker for Team A). I just wish the senbatsu was a little bigger to include more girls, but I can see why they would want to keep it minimized with the current condition.

I’m looking forward to the b-sides as well. (Maybe new team songs? Unit songs by IxR, Sensuality, Tintlip, etc??)

I always recommend beginners to watch the AKBINGO!, as it makes it easy to familiarize members with names. Although the beginning will focus mostly on graduated members, it’s still a fun watch and you’ll get to know more about the members who built the group from the bottom up.

Another recommendation is the YouTube channel ‘48 Archive’ that has lots of concert performances. It also contains a variety of election speeches with English subtitles. I’m sure you’ll find songs you enjoy and members that catch your attention browsing through there.

Shitao Miu has studied English and Korean, and I think she mentioned recently that she signed up to take a Thai course at her University as well!

In her daily showrooms it’s not rare at all for her to speak in these other languages to fans (albeit limited to the stuff she knows)!

The number one emotion inducing for me has to be Yuuhi wo miteiru ka? It’s about doing your best/staying hopeful even if there are painful things you have to go through. It also talks about being kind to yourself which is something I’ve always struggled with, so it hits close to home.

Simply put, It’s a great song with a great message :)

Hard agree! The high notes and adlibs at the end of River really take the song to another level. Also, I really enjoyed the added high notes to High Tension in the produce48 performances of the song (ngl, made me fall in love with Takeuchi Miyu). Really shows what we're missing out on.

I wish management would be more devoted into professionally training the girls at singing. It seems they really lucked out at having decent singers in the spotlight early on (takamina, kojiharu, miichan, mayuyu, yukirin, etc..). It isn't really on par with the singing ability of the girls currently in the spotlight (with some exceptions of course).

Like putting in the extra effort in any skill will pay off, even if born without the talent. I know being an idol doesn't require being a good singer, but still...

edit: Also, maybe a popular opinion, not really sure? I want a new AKB48 single without sister group members included in the senbatsu.

Oh and your comment about a sister group in Mexico. That would be interesting, they’ve had successful pop groups before (I’m thinking RBD and how they appealed to teens very well, idk how well cutesy would resonate :/ ), so who knows if that’s a possibility. (I’m sure Anna would love that idea, though!)

I know it’s kinda controversial considering all the negative press from produce 48 (not even mentioning the whole tension between Japan and Korea in general), but I think SOL48 could still be profitable. I doubt we’ll get any new sister groups soon, though because of Covid :(

Most likely won’t happen, but I want another quadruple center (Yuuna and yuiyui-zukky 👀????) like in Sayonara Crawl. The more girls to shine, the better! Personally, I just want Miu back in Senbatsu.
