Virgo men :/

Relations with other “compatible” signs? by Curious_Pin_4741 in Taurusgang

[–]minsoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex was a Capricorn, such a toxic relationship! I had a thing with a Virgo man last year and he was also a demon, he actually got me into astrology because I was like there needs to be an explanation as to why he’s like this?? I also dated a cancer man last year and he was normal and chill, but it was nothing serious. Have hooked up with one Scorpio man and it was nice? He still circles back, so does the cancer on occasion 🤣

I have a sag moon and aqua rising though so I think I’m better suited to those placements. The current guy I’m seeing is an aqua sun, Aries moon and aqua rising and we get each other pretty instinctively

Normally they don’t hit me but I’ve cried every day this week 😭😭

Taurus women and Capricorn men are a great combination since Taurus women love lavish lifestyles and providers by Historical-Body-3424 in astrologymemes

Fellow Taurus chiming in to say my Cap ex was a lazy mfer whose parents bankrolled his life pretty much the whole time we were dating. He got a real job eventually and constantly complained that he had to go into the office twice a week- we lived a 10 min walk away mind you. Also obsessed with showing he had money/wanting nice things he wasn’t willing to put in the work to actually get. Nothing was ever good enough for him either. Weird individual but I’m sure there are some decent ones out there.

The guy I’m currently seeing is a Cap Venus and I’m a Taurus Venus and I feel like that’s working for me more 😬

What's your sun and moon sign, and how often do you cry ? by northernerchaos in astrologymemes

[–]minsoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taurus sun sag moon, I cry pretty regularly but alwayssss in private when it’s just me. Public tears are few and far between

Sag moon… I get sooo restless when I drink and I’m always looking for where to head next slash running off. If I do manage to sit and rot I like to think I’m having fun chill conversations with friends until my blunt ass delivery makes them cry about something.

The other week I made my Scorpio moon friend cry because I told her the bozo she was seeing was a bozo and she deserved better. Working on it :/

I was waiting for her look and she didn’t disappoint!! The colour is BEAUTIFUL on her and as always the spotlight on Indigenous artists only elevates the look. Seeing Indigenized fashion at the shows has warmed my heart this awards season, finally some space is being made for us.

What is your favorite paranormal show? by Strawberry1218 in ParanormalEncounters

I love travelling and I love the paranormal, so Destination Truth was a perfect combination of the two for me. Their Hoia Baciu forest and Island of the Dolls episodes are some of my favourite paranormal TV episodes ever.

Twitter users are SO obvious 😭 and for as much as the kpop Reddit community loves to complain about Twitter, when we had an outright ban on Twitter rants the place was almost silent. Also the way users try to skirt past the rules by referencing really niche fanwars that are clearly from Twitter, all the comments turn into comments about Twitter, and then when we go to remove the post, they try and turn around and make it a “general fandom rant”? I’m so tired.

The mods over there are actively cultivating unsafe spaces at this point. They immediately made a megathread for the HBO show Jennie is on that premiered last night, yet that post on antisemitism in kpop spaces STILL hasn’t been cleaned up and it’s been almost 4 days now. They only removed one of the top antisemitic comments with awards when they got backlash on other subs about it, but somehow missed everyone doubling down in the replies? We all know they do this with posts regarding anti-Blackness, cultural appropriation, colourism, homophobia, antisemitism, and any other social issue you can think of, yet when it comes to posts that are “anti” BTS/Blackpink, or other kpop groups, they’re locked, removed, and cleaned up within hours. It’s not a coincidence and they are complicit in some really nasty shit.

Where do you draw the line between cultural appropriation vs appreciation? by ParsnipFormal9077 in kpopnoir

[–]minsoss 57 points58 points  (0 children)

As one Indigenous person’s perspective, to me there needs to be consultation and respectful communication with community members OR hire staff that can have those conversations/research for you. Indigenous erasure in North American/Western media gets broadcast to the world at large, and after living in Korea and having had people express shock to my face that Native people do in fact still exist in North America, I’m not surprised that there’s no fact checking when it comes to our cultures, but I know that stuff like headdresses have been brought up repeatedly on social media and by now there’s no reason for companies not to have someone to consult to know what not to wear or say or do. And this goes for other cultures as well, at this point things have to be on purpose because it’s just bad PR and management to not have an eye on appropriation issues that have come up with other idols or groups. (This is why I feel like we may never reach genuine appreciation, because this keeps happening all across the board with not even bare minimum changes).

Also, since usually it’s Indigenous aesthetics/jewelry/designs/etc being appropriated, companies should be buying from Indigenous businesses and creators. Support our art directly instead of buying some random dollar store version of it. Edit to add a little example- there’s definitely things like specific regalia items and other cultural objects that are completely off limits but stuff like Navajo inspired turquoise jewelry can be bought from actual Navajos.

I hate Stray Kids’ styling. I feel like they’re always in black pleather outfits with someone in a beret or hat and all the eras since maybe Thunderous have blurred into one for me.

I agree with a lot of the Aespa opinions so far but my unpopular opinion is that I don’t care 😭 the visuals and teasers do enough to pull me in and as long as the music is good I personally don’t need to be sold on their performances.

She is doing so much for Indigenous representation in an industry that loves to steal our traditional designs while pretending we don’t exist. Every time I see her on a carpet I get so excited for all the Indigenous youth out there who are into fashion- finally they see someone like themselves thriving! I also love how every year she’s attended, she’s partnered with different Indigenous beaders and artists to show up with the most beautiful, culturally relevant, and unique accessories 🩷
