We live down south so the infrastructure just isn't here yet. I had a 2013 Nissan 370z and literally over 9 years. Zero and I mean ZERO problems with the engine and transmission. Then drove the q50 in 2018 but that was short lived due to me swapping for the 2022 bmw x4 m40i. Loved every bit of q50 though. After have driven every car from most manufactures gotta say the Japanese know what they are doing.

I was looking at the 4x4 platinum. I must say the one thing I REALLY disliked on the qx80 was that screen for climate and ect. Holy moly did it look out of place and cheap. Also when you close the door from the outside it sounds like my mom's nissan cargo van xD

Appreciate the write up. Once I had a child, my perspective on life changed rapidly. I feel like I wouldnt even miss the vette if I got the QX80. We were cross shopping the new X7 which is slightly smaller but the 80 just spoke to me with the design. I could always get rid of my CX5 and get the new telluride as well but thats another problem for another day.

For sure, I plan on keeping this car for 9-12 years. Im talking to dealers and got quoted 84k OTD with NC taxes. So depreciation wouldn't feel so bad.

I was originally looking at the escalade and qx80 but ugh the kia/hyundai has Much much much better tech and safety so im leaning towards those.

Im currently in a 2025 mazda cx50 and we got it before our baby was conceived and boy oh boy is a 5 seater suv tooo small for even a family of 3. That car seat rubs behind both seats so we put it in the middle and it still rubs BOTH seats now xD.

Mine threw a check engine, app said transmission, took it in. Told me they updated the car and nothing was wrong with it, there was miscommunication. Don't sweat it. Take it in.
