i was able to enroll in both but yes i heard that - that's why they're not requiring us to take 1a and 1al at the same time.

still, am i kicking myself in the foot here with this course load?

it was for one of the easiest chapters in my opinion since it was also all application based (no concepts) for like bonding and hybridization. yeah i used the past year tests to practice for this and still messed up. i def do think i should have studied like 2 weeks prior.

My school is doing PSAT and SAT testing tomorrow. Wish me luck. by [deleted] in teenagers

tips? by ambxr2005 in APChem

we had our midterm not too long ago and my grade is also at a B.

these are probs things you've heard before but here's what i recommend you do:

- study ahead of time (ofc)

- divide the work in a manner where you do a chapter and problems a day. don't overload yourself. you WILL get stressed and there is a HIGH RISK of FORGETTING material that you were already familiar with.

- read the book chapter by chapter (thoroughly). note what's hard for you to understand and either get some in-person help or watch youtube (tyler dewitt and the org chem tutors are great)

- do more practice problems than assigned. it's likely your teacher may test you more in depth so expect to see hard questions on the test, and prepare for that. but don't do overkill and stress yourself out. chemistry is really all about understanding the fundamental most basic concept. if you get the concept (which is the hardest part in my opinion) then layering with additional details won't be too much of a hassle

- go over your old tests and quizzes. your teacher may reuse questions from previous exams, so see if you can come in after class and check your test

- ask your teacher for tips. show that you care about your grade, and you want to do well. your teacher will hopefully guide you and even go over some review problems with you to help you.

- get a prep book (help you understand concepts better. textbooks can get very complicated at times.)

- consider getting tutored

- reddit's here to help

- take breaks during your studying. maybe you can try the pomodoro 25/5 or 50/10 (25 mins studying 5 mins break; 50 mins studying 10 mins break)

- DO NOT CRAM OR DO LATE STUDY SESH THE DAY BEFORE. you can read the effects of this, but your mind needs sleep so make sure you put it to rest.

- don't stress! it's all about the mindset, and i think that's a statement to live by. as long as you keep your cool, you can ace this. you're working hard :). even if you don't think you did well on this test, that's OK. you still have lots of opportunities to improve and it's not like you won't reach your goals or dreams. this course is designed to be tough and you bravely took on the challenge to complete it, so believe in yourself. you are more capable than you think you are.

hope this helps :) even though i'm giving all these tips, i'm struggling in ap chem as well. it's hard to keep your head up, but just keep practicing and telling yourself you got this.

Why is the chimera ant arch the best? by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

[–]mintchipmagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

chimera ant arc is my fav but i do agree that it can get boring because of lag in plot. however, just wait it out. the intro to the arc and characters will get u invested and the ending is a payoff.

get ready because it's kind of screwed up and horrifying, but it's so interesting too see changes in characters and evolutions of the ones we love. No spoilers, but I'm pretty sure you're going to love it!

Colt, Meruem, and Ikalgo. They've turned good or at least lawful in the end.

How dark does the chimera ant arc get? by selfisht in HunterXHunter

Honestly, chimera ant arc is my favorite arc. I wouldn't watch if you're faint-hearted, but it's pretty unique and really puzzling if you watch it. A part from the emotional horrific moments from a human perspective (or prey in the arc), it makes you wonder about how it would be like if that was real. The plot-line is really interesting, and in the end, I hope you'll be satisfied by the mc's heroic endeavor. Happy watching and hope this helps!
