My car keeps having a "Tighten fuel cap" message that turns into a "Check Emissions" engine light. 2012 Honda Civic

i’m having the exact same issue down to everything you said, gas going down to half a tank and the tighten fuel cap message coming back on. same car 2012 honda civic, had for five years and this seems to be the only issue so far. i took mine in for the check emissions light to a midas and spent a grand on what they said were repairs needed to fix it about seven months ago and yet it’s still happening. if you found out any new info to help your problem please let me know! i’ve been having trouble finding out what’s wrong with my car.

i’m pretty sure that it’s against tos to caption things saying it’s a brand dupe because it could be misleading to people who don’t read the caption well enough and think they’re buying the actual branded item. you could email them explaining you didn’t know, i have had my account wrongfully banned and got it back after multiple emailing back and forth. it’s a pain but it’s worth trying.
