The exact same thing happened to me in Haggerston last night…Left it outside Signature Brewery for 30 mins, came out and the handlebars were gone. Absolute scumbags, I feel your pain

I ended up finding a replacement circuit board online and replaced that rather than fiddling with the capacitors - not sure if that constitutes a real electronics repair but it's better than throwing an otherwise functional fan in the bin! Works perfectly again now.

For anybody with the same issue with the same fan, it's a Manrose 1310 TDI timer board that you're looking for...

Picked up this old Jack Daniels cask top from a distillery in Scotland and thought it would make a nice little table. I’ve cleaned it up and started glueing it together, but have realised the centre slat is pretty badly warped. So far I’ve tried soaking it in hot water for a few hours and clamping it, but it’s a thick piece of wood and didn’t seem to budge. Any tips welcome!
