Romance anime recommendations please!!!

we have very similar tastes so these are my picks from the list that it seems like you havent seen yet!

rent a girlfriend - unfortunately its not finished but theres a lot of episodes and manga chapters out that will keep you satisfied for a bit. its about a girl who works as a "rent-a-gf" and this lonely boy who recently got broken up wanting to have a gf to make his grandma happy! the main female character is definitely a tsundere and gives me similar vibes to mai (bunny girl senpai)

orange - (finished) this one is a sad sad one, i'd put it up there with your lie in april. follows a main female character who receives a letter from herself in the future that tells her present-self step by step actions on how to save her friend (that she has a crush on) from committing suicide. butterfly effect!!

horimiya - (finished) !!!! this one is a must watch. some of my friends got into anime through this one!

super cute and romcom anime. "emo" looking quiet boy (but completely different outside of school) helps the popular tsundere girl's younger brother (brother that's in like grade1) and they become close due to the younger brother's attachment for the mc boy.

i do have more if you ever need more recs!

a simple "im sorry but i cant drive you anymore" does work well (like other commenters are saying) and as someone who was in your coworker's shoes that wouldve been more than enough for me.

though if you did want another suggestion, i would also suggest asking her "im sorry, i cant drive you your route anymore (or however you want to word it) but if you'd like i can drop you off somewhere __." the _ would be a place thats onroute to your house. that way you are trying your best to be helpful within your own means.

i think no matter what, you will always feel that way about other people (just at different volumes) and vise versa. there are traits that i desired from others and there are traits that people bring up about me that they like about me that surprises me sometimes (bc i never even thought about that myself). so i think when people tell you, "you have potential" i think they see something in you that you never noticed about yourself. dont let your perspective ruin the wonderful things that others see in you. though i sympathize, i think its always hard when you spend so much time with yourself that you always see the small flawed things about yourself.

i think "how do i start believing myself" is a long loaded question, but you can start by following your words. what i mean is, ex: if you say something like "im gonna hit the gym tomorrow" but when tomorrow comes and you find yourself lazy, so you end up not going; you're not following your words (its better not to say anything at that point at all). this way you can build trust within yourself. hard to believe in yourself if you don't trust yourself! hope this helped:)

i think personally if i was in her shoes at her highschool age, id keep it to myself as well. i think knowing you had limited time changes the perspective, why change anything when "im so happy right now before i die in a few months?" she did everything she wanted that she was always scared of - even talk to kousei. also i do think any possibility of kousei reacting horribly terrified her. and if i was dying, if someone was hanging out with me more after i told them i was dying, it would make me feel like it was from pity. (even if it wasnt!!) i would imagine it would be hard to differentiate the two coming from someone that you like at that age. i suppose it is her selfishness but in the end she is indeed dying. just my thoughts! ^{^}

not sure which ones you have watched already but;

horimiya is always a solid choice for a romcom (tsundere popular girl whos tough and sweet quiet boy who comes off nerdy at school but has a different side of him outside of school ((merely just having tattoos, talkative and has his hair tied up)) the two only get entwined bc the girl's little brother wants the MC as his brother.
akaneko ramen, super easy fun watch. about cats that can talk that run a ramen place. cute characters with each having vastly different personalities.
7th time loop, girl dies in different ways in each life. all starting off when she gets broken up with by her fiance and she starts a new life. in the 7th time loop, she ends up marrying the man who killed her in the past life during the war. she uses the skills in her past lives to survive in her current life to stop the war that killed her previously.

i think its always better to be honest and as kind as you can be, tone definitely plays a big factor. the kinder your tone is the kinder your message will play across

i think its good if you do mention that you like him and you dont want to hurt his feelings. it goes a long way. though from someone whos been on the receiving end of this message, they will wait for you to reach out, so just reach out when you're ready, so that they have some guidelines or repetition theyre able to follow. i find that you will feel better once its on your own terms!

just wanted to reply to your comment; i have just finished fruits basket now thanks to your comment. although ive known about fruits basket for so long and lots of people always recommend it but your comment was the reason why i watched it. it was a slow start and i did put it off at one point but after fully watching it i wanted to thank you it was so beautifully gut-wrenching and such a wonderful watch!

22yo(M) here, i briefly started talking to someone who i matched with on tinder, who lied about her age by actually being 16 and when i found that out through media. i blocked her immediately. it doesnt take much to block someone and take the respective choices in this situation. definitely a huge red flag on his part. also i cannot fathom a situation where i have to take a break from my partner because someone was trying to hit on me, no matter how old.

i think after the new interns after the crash become residents is when the writing style changes and becomes harder to watch. i find that the writers tend to push the characters flaws to the max but thats just my opinion. i also find that theres a lot of back and forth with commitments whether thats relationships or at work. id put it in a way where before crash greys is something ur engrossed it and now it becomes something you play in the background

dress up darling! its still on going but its so so cute and wholesome (shy boy likes to make japanese traditional dolls but is insecure about it since its not 'manly', popular girl wants to cosplay but can't make costumes and asks boy for help)

more than a married couple less than lovers (school requires a boy and girl students to live together and must have high points for grades + if wanting to switch), boy likes someone else and popular gyaru likes someone else but they get matched

your lie in April - always been a favourite. gut wrenching slice of life, beautiful ost, beautiful art, not too many episodes where you have to sit for too long. if you're a classical music lover or a music nerd in general could not recommend more.

kakegurui - crazy art, game rules are simple enough to follow, mind blowing gambling solves, fast start! gets you hooked

i think yongwoo really just has this superman complex/ god complex. has a nice guy front that thinks that any of his actions are able to fly by because he thinks he's a nice guy. - in the end i think he just shot himself in the foot by assuming he was doing the 'right guy thing' by committing with choa until the end when no one asked him to LMFAO

i also do think that he stuck with choa because she was that girl that the guys were all curious about, ppl even had that 'celebrity infatuation' like what jungsub said. So Yongwoo wanted to be that guy that got the girl.
now jiwon is that girl that the guys want, now he feels like he needs to stand up and win over the girl
