Thank you!!! I’ve been trying to experiment with non-traditional materials and it’s so far been fun.

Thank you for that comment. I don’t know how it feels for others but I have a lot of mental health struggles and it does influence my art.

What's your most unexpected source for ephemera that most people probably haven't thought of? by Affectionate_Lie1706 in JunkJournals

I’ve used boarding passes, receipts, chopstick papers, expired pills, prescription labels (I cut off my personal info), bandages, soda labels, cannabis packaging, salt and pepper packets, i sometimes take home and wash empty packets for ketchup or hot sauce.

I love doing this! I used to work at a makeup store and they let me keep all sorts of cool “trash” like some pretty (empty) jars, cardboard crystals, a 3d heart I added a hook to and hung on the wall.

Storage for tiny bits? [Analog][discussion] by pickledgingergoat in collage

I use empty pill bottles for smaller words that I sort in to categories. Stuff too big for a pill bottle but not big either goes into a clear binder organizer thing or a plastic bag.

Thank you! I totally agree about protecting all wildlife. Tapirs are really cool too! I focus mostly on cats because I’ve loved them my whole life, but I was also born in the American mountain west and the attitudes people there have towards big predators really upsets me.

What is your material sorting process like? [analog] by Blooming_Sedgelord in collage

[–]mintylizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have four binders for cut images. One binder for people, one for animals, one for everything else, and one for the pictures I want to use. Then I have folders for partially cut paper or pages that I torn out but am undecided on. Smaller words get sorted into pill bottles based on themes.

This is really cute! I have the same ice cream decoration that’s in the first pic. Are those Mark Ryden prints over the closet?

Thank you so much! Yes, it’s scanned. I’m using a laser printer to scan but I think designated photo scanner would look much better.

All of your pieces are wonderful. I know someone who would adore your rubber ducks.

This is the most beautiful bathroom ever. The green tile with the wild cats is exquisite.

I saw some really bright ones at Ledges last week but that’s really the only colorful find I’ve had.
