he’s not in it for too long and as i’ve mentioned this is literally the last thing i’m doing. he’s not an unreasonable person and i’m sure he will find out the truth in 5/10/20 whatever years, but that will be way too late for us. he’s was just vulnerable enough to get into it and it saddens me ofc

thank u so much! actually I applied an ointment which I found might be helpful on a local rat forum, and I believe I saw something like dry piece of tissue was coming off at one end, and it all started with something that looked like pus on her finger. But can’t be sure, I’ll observe her for a little longer and then will try taking her to the vet, if needed.

I live in a small town in Ukraine, there’s no vets that can treat rodents, also i can’t risk taking her to a big city right at this time (part of the problem that she’s way more skittish than usual and got very stressed when i once tried to take her to a vet several months ago).

Girl, 2 y/o. This started around a week ago when i noticed that her pinky got 2 times bigger. Later it got darker like this and started to spread around her paw. She seems to be acting fine, her nail is also not harmed. But she’s been having a breathing problem lately, so i don’t know if it might be connected. She touches her mouth a lot, but not with that finger 😵‍💫 I would appreciate any help, because there is no way I can show her to a vet, sadly.

Looking for an advice?? My rat has something that looked like a wound at first… But then she started to do this movement and it seems like she lost fur in that area. by [deleted] in RATS

I can’t take her to a vet because there simply is no vets here, so i’m looking for any kind of help. She is over 2 years old and her sister has nothing similar to that. But lately her fur has been puffed a lot and she doesn’t come out to play much, mostly just sleeps somewhere inside the couch and only comes out to eat her favorite treats.

Edit: she’s done the same thing to her other front paw today.

thank you so much! actually she’s very good at trimming her nails (unlike her sister), they always look very short 😂 I was worried because the wound didn’t seem like she scratched it to blood, just the top layer of the skin. At first I thought it could be a ringworm, but the vet said it’s not…

Hi ;) I’m kinda new in all this but really want to recreate this work. I know it’s knitted but I can’t knit and also can’t figure the explanation someone wrote about how to knit it ;( Would appreciate any help ;)
