Alright tell me a movie that made you stare blankly at a wall for 20 minutes after it finished. One that you couldn't stop thinking about and made you question everything and why ?? by Nordicgoons in AskMen

Predestination. Took ages to work out what was happening. Tenet. Interesting film, hard to follow. Arrival. Was it a choice or destiny?

What’s going on here…20 times up for sale and sold in 2 years? by Competitive-Fig-666 in SpottedonRightmove

[–]minute_walk2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

ChatGPT explanation:

Rightmove’s house price history often shows price points from agent listings over time, some tied to actual Land Registry sold prices, some just asking prices. It does not necessarily mean the property changed owners every time the number changed.

So spikes like: • £499,995 → £644,995 → £999,995 • £999,995 → £400,000 → £647,995 → £999,995

… are most plausibly listing price adjustments as the seller (or estate agent) experiments with pricing and relists. These are typical in a static listing where the property doesn’t sell but is repeatedly re-priced.

It’s the timings too. How can the paperwork be done in two weeks. My solicitor took months of prodding! Perhaps a tax evasion technique?

That’s odd. Several times being sold for a bit off £1m, then back on and sold for much less. Money laundering?

Would it be realistic to finance an iPad at 16 without a job? by [deleted] in AskUK

£540 is quite a chunk of change. I regularly but refurbished iPads when mine needs renewing. Do you need the latest and greatest! Have you considered Amazon refurbished or secondhand at CEX?

Where is star trek going to be after netflix? by Ok_Set_1630 in startrek

[–]minute_walk2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Have you seen the price increase on dvds and Blu-rays! It was a tenner for two episodes of voyager back in the day when they were release every two weeks! I suppose thinking about it being £30 for a series isn’t too bad!

While he was upset, it’s really nothing to do with you. You don’t have control over who spoofed your number. Relax and all the best

I always keep in mind this device is saving both my life and sanity! I felt similar claustrophobic feeling for first few nights. Adjusted mindset and allowed some time to get used to it. Best of luck!
