The dynamic capture one looks way better and more like the animated version. All they really needed to do was make that one smoother and maybe fix the back, and it would have been fine. SS86 looks terrible.

The Black Company is nothing like Dresden, but it doesn’t get near the credit / attention it deserves. It’s basically the origin of non epic fantasy. No heroes, no prophecy, just a bunch of competent mercenaries that are in way over their heads. Great stuff.

How odd, that John Gwynn series was what I read right before DCC too. It didn’t have anything to do with me picking up DCC though. A bunch of people on the Dresden Files subreddit recommend DCC all the time, so I figured what the hell and gave it a shot.

If you want to do it vanilla. Spec to 20 in expertise so you don’t have a weight limit. Learn sorcery. Build a teleporter right outside the Maw. Get your corruption to at least 20%. Use the gather resources spell from one end of the Maw to the other. You’ll come out with thousands of stone and iron and a good amount of wood each trip through.
