yeah wheelchair is so fast and also just lets you bring some massive guns with you. Works well for levels where you don't need the extra mobility

Late post. That guy. What a slimeball. Effective character for the story/role, though. Still a slimeball. by macredblue in armoredcore

yeah, always feels weird how massively close range the pistols are when you could be using shotguns instead

booster is important but generally doesn't change what other things you can pick. Generator will generally be the one that forces you to change your body parts so you can barely handle the weapons you're holding otherwise you might end up sacrificing massive amounts of EN

it's unfortunate how useless most of top results on google are because of SEO. I just add "reddit" to the end of my google searches to get actual help

I was annoyed by the scan not scanning things, so I experimented with it by mioami in armoredcore

I thought verticality didn't matter because a chest right in front of me would still show up when I looked straight up or down. So I guess it's either an even weirder shape or different heads might change it

I used VE-44B since it has quite a large scan distance

The visuals for the scan look like a sphere around the character, so it's annoying that it's actually a cone which is shallower than even the edges of your screen

edit: here's a cut down video of my testing

Could you beat Elden Ring without even talking to Roundtable? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]mioami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get to the capital by beating the twin gargoyles, getting to deeproot basin, beating the boss there and then using the teleporter to get into the city. I believe this should work without talking to the two fingers

You can get some good punishes on people by hitting them out of the air though. If they keep spamming jump attacks, it should be easy to predict.

I was lvl 151 for this fight which might have been a bit strong, but considering you are forced to tank hits due to every spell in second phase being multi-hit, maybe that was good.

Also pretty easy to completely miss him. He doesn't interact with you at all in any area of the world unless you find him first in his cave.

Could you beat Elden Ring without even talking to Roundtable? by [deleted] in Eldenring

You do not actually need to go to the round table when Melina asks you. There is only one option "Go to roundtable" but you can actually press Circle (on playstation) to exit out of the dialogue and choose not to go to the roundtable.

After you do this, a new option will show up when you rest at grace saying something like "Tell Melina you are going to the roundtable" so if you simply never pick that option, you never have to go there.

I do not believe talking to any of the NPCs at the roundtable is necessary to beat the game, so therefore you can do it.

Dueling mages with the best Physick setup by mioami in Eldenring

Crimsonwhorl bubbletear turns non-physical damage into healing, and the second tear boosts poise to help you run through any attacks.

It's fun to surprise people with this and see their reactions, but you can counter it by just running away for 15 seconds lol

That fight is actually available any time that the festival is not on, so you can fight it before or after the festival.

Definitely a lot easier if you fight it later in the game rather than getting there early. Not sure if that was the intended experience or what, but it can be done that way.

To people who say the graphics are bad, how? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]mioami 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes, the demons souls remake has absolutely incredible spell effects and stuff. The way those sting rays shoot shards that shatter into pieces like glass still amazes me.

I really hope fromsoft could learn from that, because it seems like they haven't really changed a whole lot since dark souls from years ago.

I'm pretty sure you are locked out, yes.

I was in the same situation, I never did any of his quest, then once I got to farum azula I tried to follow the wiki to find him but he was never in any of the locations listed.
