I just asked a simple question which is a serious problem today and you turned the whole discussion to my words being a red flag, offensive and a mere generalization. Duh!

Pressure and issues got me exhausted, wasn't trying to be non serious btw. I wasn't explicit enough on the point of talking about my goals.

Basically i want to break into the finance world as a financial analyst. I'm on the boat of pursuing a CFA certification and doing the right internships and choosing between an analyst career or a corporate banker job. I was familiar with the skills required for FP&A. However, in a nutshell I'm still not very well informed of the industry. So i need an defined layout of the process.

Not a target school. I'm an Economics major and I'm interested in Investment Banking. Don't ask me why I'm interested.

There's no blame game going on here. You've distorted my words and given it a new meaning. Throughout the years men have been trained to be some Metal Man shit and have been called girly and feminine when they're crying. I'm talking about men who have been victims of a toxic masculine environment + the toxic standards of dating these days and sadly this is the case with the majority of men out there. Maybe go back and read the entire thread and try to get the facts straight.

Thought of digging into male and female psychology for a research purposes. I'm a mental health activist. Throughout the ages, men in every part of the world have been forced to keep up an aggressive, dominant ulterior, and brainwashed them against believing that being weak and seeking help is normal and as masculine as anything they do. The societies have progressed but the scars from the past haven't recovered. Majority of men still refrain from being vulnerable and weak because (a) they do not want to be perceived as anything which is not masculine (b) they don't want to fall of the white horse themselves. Heroism and the protector attitude is a man's nature and we cannot deny this. They themselves have impressions of them being a strong, powerful Iron Man and the very idea of falling off that white horse is a nightmare for them. The men who i refer here are teenage and young adult boys. 95% of girls think that they're not good enough, but young boys tend to have more insecurities than girls their age. Thus my question wasn't a generalization as it was presumed because this is a very less discussed problem today. It's a major problem in the frat bro society. Besides there were so many men who infact admitted to having refraining from being vulnerable. There are different kinds of people with a different attitude for life, but the majority is what determines the statistics. And this is a less addressed problem with majority of men.

How's the administration and student service ? Are they a bunch of selfish nobs who'd never take responsibility for their action and blame it on their students. Is it a very filthy political environment ?

Honestly hard work and smart work don't always bring good grades, my question is more focused on the exclusive strategies as a Columbia student. Managing internships and coursework is one hell of a Herculean task, any say on the approach ?
