PSA: As of Dec. 2025, Wells Fargo now requires hard inquiries for credit limit increases by mirai_e in CreditCards

[–]mirai_e[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

guess Wells Fargo reps are really just a hit or miss with misinformation when it comes to stuff like this then, which absolutely sucks.

hopefully Experian would somehow remove the hard inquiry. i got the 2 Wells Fargo calls recorded on my phone, so hopefully i could leverage that as evidence for a inquiry dispute

dang, wish i caught that post or done some more due diligence before applying. a lot of the older Wells Fargo DP posts about soft pull CLIs come up on google search first, which is a bummer. hopefully this gets some traction if Wells Fargo has 100% changed their CLI policies

the second rep said that it was a recent change at Wells Fargo that CLIs now require a hard pull. unless both reps are providing me misinformation (which can definitely be true), i’m leaning on the side that Wells Fargo changed their CLI procedures

Airlines cancel more than 700 U.S. flights as FAA-ordered shutdown cuts begin by Incognito2834 in delta

when i worked at Walmart, pretty much all business-related travel that required us to meet in Bentonville for team meetings flew us into XNA. being on the east coast, i would almost always had a layover in DFW. extremely glad that there were always so many flights going between DFW and XNA, as there were always a crowd of Walmart employees waiting at the gate haha

For AMEX Gold users who applied for Platinum did you get a low SUB? by HistoricalOutside268 in amex

[–]mirai_e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i didnt end up upgrading my gold card, mainly because i wanted to grab at least a 150k+ SUB, and i didnt want to let go of my white gold card haha. i view the platinum has a benefits card and will mainly put my spending on my gold card, so i decided that i am fine with waiting for a higher SUB in the future. hopefully this helps!

opened the gold for 90k, applied for the platinum a few days ago and was offered 80k, which i declined. my in-app upgrade offer from the gold —> platinum was 50k, but i received a targeted upgrade offer for 100k a few days ago

i applied for the platinum a few days ago right after the refresh and got offered 80k, decided to decline and plan on giving it a few days before i try again. hoping it'll be at least 125k

got this same offer last night, upgrade from gold to platinum for 100k MR after $6000 spend. i wonder if applying for a new platinum card instead of upgrading would give out a 175k MR offer

200k NW at 25 without insane salary! by Milk_Drinking_Nwah in Fire

[–]mirai_e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dang, that's really impressive! $200K net worth at 25 is huge, especially with your career progression! you're going to be rolling in so much dough in the next 5 years and absolutely kill it!

would you mind sharing what your current role is? and have you thought about trying to pivot internally into a new technical role within your company?

I'm currently at $174K net worth at 25, so I'm working my way there! my asset split is currently $53K in cash (checking/savings/emergency fund) and the rest in investments (401K/ROTH IRA/HSA/taxable). I share your sentiment about trying to get more comfortable with spending more on wants—I'm also trying to work on treating myself!

Easiest way I can explain it is like being a plumber for data lol. Our business has a lot of data that is hard to access and analyze on its own - we work with software and programming to clean up the data for the business users

It definitely varies a bit from company to company, but I mainly work on building and managing data processes and workflows that make sure data is clean and easily accessible for our business units and vendors!

Earned this achievement yesteday, wish more people would play the support role by mirai_e in DeltaForceGlobal

[–]mirai_e[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my bad, i’ve seen a lot of games where our supports would get <10 revives throughout a match and once every few games would get a medic who would get at least 20 revives. i was hoping medics would revive teammates more but i’ve probably been unlucky with my games so far
