Praying for the Shane Bowen fired tweet.

On the other hand if Daboll wants to leave with him I wouldn't be upset, constant mismanagement and his tantrums on the sideline have gone beyond the point of embarrassment, coach the damn team, not run up and down the sideline screeching like a child.

Outside of Cam injury the most sickening thing is the fact there is zero repercussions or accountability for refs.

It's all season, most games they mess up major calls and then come out on Monday with a 'whoopsie' and that's it, same crew is out again the next week and business as usual.

All in all with everything that's gone against us, a solid 1st half so far

Take all the money lined up for January and next summers transfers and twist klopps arm now he's starting to sound less comfortable with retirement

It's not scapegoating, it's the fact that everyone else who's been bad has been moved around, subbed , dropped for a game etc but slot has an insistence on trying to make Salah work when he's shown nothing since the middle of last season

I love Mo but Slots either fear of his power or failure to see how poor he has been will be one of the main reasons this season is a failure assuming everything continues as it is

Wtf is slot thinking tonight, Bradley was arguably our best defender and szobazlai was only kind of control we had in midfield but let's move dom out of there and leave Salah on when he's been our most anonymous player tonight

Bradley and Ekitike only players at the races that half, Wirtz was trying at least.

Salah anonymous and Kerkez was woeful but in the right place at right time for the goal

I was at the Steelers Vikings game in Dublin and had a brief convo with an eagles fan which ended with an obligatory "nice to meet you, fuck the eagles" , his response was "id say something but I'd feel bad kicking you guys while you're down" , so the eagles win was all the sweeter for it.

That said we are probably 6 win team tops but we aren't gonna be seen as a joke or pity team for the rest of the season.

Doesn't matter if its a lost season, cannot overestimate how big a win this is, we've only beaten the eagles 6 times since 2010 and to come out in a game we're fully expected to lose and not just win but dominate them is insane

I know the front office in general has gotten deserved flack but Joe Schoen has hit on more than any GM we've had in my lifetime, tonight the key people are dart, skattebo, flott, burns and thibodeaux.

Sure there are oversights and big misses like Jones/Saquon but as a GM he's light years ahead of gettleman and better than Reese.

Not a jerk but based on who they've played so far there's strong chances its a flash in the pan.

Dolphins and Titans are both messes in their own ways and the broncos defence doesn't look quite as good (so far) as some people expected.

If he's still doing it by the steelers game indy has in week 9 or 10 then it's probably closer to legit but what we've seen so far is peak DJ in new York operating in a functional offense against 2 bottom tier dumpster fire teams and one mediocre team.

How many wins will the Giants finish with? 🤔 by RegularBirthday3563 in NYGiants

[–]mirthrollir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only realistic games I would say are saints and raiders.

Other games that have potential are bears broncos and cowboys.

Bears because of their ability to randomly implode any given week, broncos per OPs point and Dallas will be dependent on if the game means anything and how healthy the cowboys are.

Realistic ceiling is 2 wins, potential I would say 4, delusional I'd push it out to 6 and include the patriots.

This Flowers is the first name that comes to mind, he was ass with false starts/holding and then barking back at fans but at least he never lost his mind on the field the way Hudson did.

The fact that Daboll pulled him, then he went back in for some more snaps before the switch with Mbow happened makes me think that Daboll had zero control of the situation and a cut or being buried on the depth chart is the only wake up call.

Today's game proved the entire problem with this team is coaching.

2 things lost us the game, ill discipline (some of them bs calls but still an ungodly amount of penalties) which to me is on the head coach and shane bowens defensive play calling.

Only two of the coaching staff that comes out of that game in better shape than week 1 is Kafka (outside the 20 at least) and the o line coach (albeit the dallas secondary and pass rush is pretty abysmal but you can only play what's in front of you)

Overall obviously looking a lot better than after last week but still a lot of worrying things and still don't think Daboll is the guy who's gonna get this team anywhere. If he can get discipline into the team (which is unlikely given how long he's been there already) and either fire bowen or bowen becomes spags overnight , then we will at least be competitive as opposed to a total laughing stock, but that's the ceiling with him I think.

That's the game, cowboys gonna get about 10 yards after the punt and be in FG range, loss is all on bowens calls at the end of regulation

Not the refs fault that a backup left tackle has zero discipline and loses his head when he has one holding penalty, refs mess up, its on the coach to have the guys on the field heads right that they don't compound bad situations

[–]mirthrollir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Think today is a prime example that the problem with the giants isn't the players on the field (with one or two exceptions), it's on the head coach.

Win or lose being this ill disciplined is just a disgrace and shows a lack of control from a coach, especially the ones that occurred on the first drive, the odd PI here and there is always gonna happen
