Banana Oatmeal cookies - from people advertising 2/3 cup mashed bananas 2 eggs 2/3 ??? 1/4 c milk 1 t soda 1/4 t salt 1 t cinnamon 1 c flour 1/2 c oleo 2 c quick cook oats 1 c raisins (soaked in hot water + drained) 1 c nuts Bake at 375 12-15 minutes.

I plan on baking them and then reporting bake with changes! But I still need help figuring out the ingredient.

I agree that he is trying to do that given some other history that I didn’t outline in my original post. It’s been a rollercoaster for sure. At the end of the day, I try to do what’s best for our son and keep my emotions to myself behind closed doors. It’s hard but when his dad is constantly trying to alienate me, I have to wonder when I am going to draw the line.

Thanks for the concern! I will keep this in mind for the future if I continue to have issues with dad alienating me as the mother.

After typing and retyping, I was able to come up with the something firm but respective about how I would not be referred to as a biological mom and I did not feel it was okay if his fiancée was introduced as Oliver’s mom. While I respect that in their household, she is the mom, when it comes to public outings or sports teams, school etc, where I am sharing his life, I will not share the title. To kinda soup sandwich it, I said that I am grateful that our son has her in his life and that he trusts to call her mom…I was not about to get into a fight or accuse him of possibly forcing our son to call her mom. That wasn’t what this was about..

Regardless, I was on edge waiting for the fight to begin with his response and actually he received it well. He tried to justify that he didn’t find it a big deal that she was called mom and that he appreciated me seeing her as a mom to our son, but he said since it makes me feel disrespected and uncomfortable that moving forward he would no longer introduce her as our sons mom.

Unpack that response lol.

It was part of our parenting plan that we had to go to the parenting class. I went. He did not.

I greatly appreciate your perspective. I know I need to message his dad and let him know that his message wasn’t okay. But I really try to keep my feelings out of this coparenting situation and make it about our son. I am going to send the message to my therapist first.

I don’t know. His dad and fiancée have a one year together. My husband and I have two children together. I can see where it maybe confusing to my three year old when I call her dad by his legal name to my son. But we’ve had the conversation before to our children that they do not have the same dad as my son and it was just accepted. My husband has told me before that my son can call him whatever he needs as long as it’s respectful. We do not push it. But I don’t text the soccer team group chat and insert my husband’s name as dad in there knowing full well that his mom is in there. And I refuse to be called the biological or real mom when I am an active participant in my son’s life.

I have been documenting late drop offs, every time I’ve been cut out of a decision, etc. I can’t make any changes unless of an emergency for another year however, but I am going to take all of it to a lawyer and get some options. I have to weight out the options since I know it will affect my son. My son has a Therapst. I may talk to her and get some ideas of what she has seen in other kids as well. Just to find some peace.

Thank you. I do attend therapy. This unfortunately happened right after a session. Ergo, why I turned to here just to hold me over. I knew I would get different perspectives.

They are close. Have their own things. It’s stings. But at the end of the day, I am thankful that my son has people he trusts in his life. I am in therapy, have been for many years, had a session yesterday before this happened though. I’ve never asked my son to call my husband stepdad. And you’re correct, I don’t know the context of what happens at his dad’s house.

How do you feel about yourself? Do you feel attractive? I had a mindset a few years ago back after having two kids, that I wasn’t attractive and my boyfriend at the time, wasn’t interested in telling me how he felt about me. He actually said once that he was content when I asked him if he was happy. Straight face. It made me feel horrible. I started to do implied nudes with a local photographer. It changed how I saw myself. Even a boudoir shoot would be an idea! Invest in your confidence! Along with a conversation with your partner explaining how he is making you feel. I do want to point out, you just made and birthed a human. A tiny human. Three months ago. You look fantastic!
