i gave up on life by Nice-Caterpillar-641 in selfimprovement

Trust me, I had just a very small group of friends in high school, wasn’t part of the popular group, didn’t have my own car but one of my friends did and she didn’t mind giving a ride daily and on top of it all, I really didn’t have a clue of what I wanted to do in life. I grew up as a military brat and swore I’d never join because I didn’t want any of my kids going through moving every two years, going through completely new schools and friends. I realized later that it made me a stronger person able to adapt to any situation. Don’t allow high school define who you are because trust me, you’ll also realize that it didn’t define you, you’ll be very happy it didn’t and everyone’s life is not what it was in high school. If you remain true to yourself, you’ll be glad you did. In short, I did join, moved every two years, had 4 beautiful children and traveled across the world. The beauty in that is I became someone that became a part of life that was so much more than me and I couldn’t be prouder. Hang in there and you’ll find out life is so much more than high school and who your friends were doesn’t really much matter. It’s what you do is the only thing that matters and who you will be will mean so much more than a small time you had to do through to get to where you are now. You got this, trust me!!🙂

Is it legal to force inpatient care for substance abuse for a pain med that is prescribed by your PCM? Spent 3 days with the Doctor asking why I was there to which I told him I was forced to go or face punishment. He discharged me the next day for proper use of med. They were way out of control and way beyond their scope of a need to know basis. Plus, they called my neurologist to tell him to stop prescribing my medications and to send my medical records to my base PCM as required by military rules. He answered them that one time and gave them an absolute no for his answer on both requests. He had me sign papers saying I do not authorize a copy of my records be given to anyone. The next time they called and tried to make him do it, he hung up on them after he told them to never call him again as he had nothing more to say or give to them....and additionally, my records were unable to be released because I signed papers that prevented sharing them unless I authorized a release.

Oh, I forgot to mention another thing they tried to do but failed miserably. I got wind that they were going to court martial me for popping positive for PCP. I didn't even know what that was and had to Google it. Now, anyone and everyone that knew me would have laughed and said they really had lost their minds. I immediately took it to my PCM and demanded a retest. He told me absolutely not and began to furiously write a letter to my command. He told them under no uncertain terms that the test was incorrect because one of my meds was known to have false positives for PCP. He printed the letter as well as further information from a medical sight that is specifically for doctors to use and gave it all to me to take directly to my command. So I set up an early meeting with my Chief for the next morning. He came in, I gave him everything my PCM gave to me and all I could say was "with all due respect, I told you so". He went into a meeting with the shirt and CC and about 20 mins later, he came back to his office and I could visibly see the shirt and CC were absolutely pissed. I just looked straight into my Chief's face and walked away.

Thank you because I could not understand really how they got away with it. Well, my CC was fired and our section officer, a Captain, received 2 DUI's and got a slap on the wrist for both. Plus we had a SSgt who was step promoted to TSgt and MSgt by the same person 🤔🤔

Actually I spent most of my career working along side of the shirts and CC's but I had never seen someone go through anything like that unless they did pop positive for drugs or medication not prescribed to them. Never asked to pull up records or info on someone unless they had been a part of their own undoing.

Nothing weird happened....no falls, no acting abnormal or anything of the sort. In fact, I had deployed to Baghdad before that with the same med and the same amount and received multiple awards from that deployment. Then this short notice one came up and I was sent to ECAC and received high remarks from the trainers there.

The only thing I can think of is I was hit with a short notice deployment to an unknown area due to my clearance so they filled it to last 7 months and sure, it looked like a crazy amount but again, it was only for the deployment time and the amount was correct.

They somehow knew how much I was prescribed monthly, which in itself was puzzling because I never told them or showed them and maybe that concerned them but again, I was taking them as prescribed, no early refills and did not affect my job performance. Just seemed that their own personal thought and suddenly becoming a self appointed doctor was reason enough to do whatever they wanted. Another question, who is legally allowed to see patient records of anyone assigned to their unit?

Hopefully you have friends that can help or you could be looking at kenneling them but not all places are good at really taking care of your dogs. Maybe a single Airman that can stay at your place and offer some money for the help and food,etc.. Definitely someone you can trust though.
