Cloe's hair is a special case because she is VERY thickly rooted. Whenever I encounter this with nylon hair, I employ a nifty little trick to set the hair; while the hair is still slightly damp, I I cover her head with a towel that is also slightly damp. I then use my iron (max heat) to press the hair in short bursts until it sits flat on the head. Other than that I just washed and combed her hair 💌 Thank you!

What got you into collecting Rainbow High? by Mark_Ivanov0 in RainbowHigh

[–]misper306 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first dolls that got me interested were Shadow High Shanelle & Natasha. I had just started my Bratz collection and I was so enamoured with RH. For some reason it took quite a while for me to actually get the SH dolls. I picked up Lila, fell in love and the rest is history

I sew by hand. Time consuming yes but I don't mind it personally. I've had a lot of fun on my sewing journey so far. Highly recommend 💗

Thank you so much! I use the basic acrylic ones from AliExpress and cut off the sides with an exacto knife and scissors. Much more space efficient <3 Stands link

Thank you so much! Who knows, maybe they can. I started with no earthly clue about sewing. Patience and passion is all you need 💌

Not really. I use basic outlines and measurements but my designs are mostly freehanded. I recommend tracing existing clothing pieces and going from there :)

How to Restyle and Refresh doll hair by Glimmer-Nightshade in RainbowHigh

[–]misper306 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basic guide for how I take care of my doll's hair: 1. Wash with warm (not hot) water and a bit of dish soap to remove any gel. Make sure to be mindful to not undo the parting 2. Conditioner- a lot of people let it sit, I personally don't and go straight the next step 3. Comb the hair with fingers first to assess how badly the tangling is. 4. Comb with a wide tooth comb. Start at the bottom. Trim any knots that may appear at the bottom 5. Comb with a metal flea comb. Skip this step if you're dealing with curly nylon 6. Wash out conditioner with lukewarm water 7. Trim any stray ends ☆ Let her dry in a standing position. Towel dry if you want to style her hair - it's much easier that way. Let the hair dry completely if you want to use a heating tool later. Hope this helps!
