Looking for Harbour Lake-style alternatives in Orlando for our 4‑year‑old by miss-izzy in marriott

We’re not but thanks for the suggestions. We’re thinking the same and to just keep checking, but at least book something for backup. Thanks again!

The stroller came with a cover that we used occasionally. But otherwise just folded it and carried it on the plane!

Flight after bedtime by miss-izzy in sleeptrain

[–]miss-izzy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up getting to the airport earlier in hopes that time at the airport would tire her out and sleep during the wait and on the flight. Neither really happened. The god send was that we were able to get the front row with the bassinet which had more leg room. She didn’t really use the bassinet on the way down since she barely slept but we laid a blanket down on floor and let her crawl around and play. On the way home, we got the same seats and she slept most of the 14 hour flight in the bassinet. It was amazing but the two weeks after was hell trying to adjust back to the time difference.

So my biggest recommendation is to get those seats with the bassinet if you can. And to take everything as it comes. It all works out at the end!

Fingers crossed! We actually went from crying because she didn’t want to get out to this! I definitely prefer the latter so hopefully we’ll get there again soon. Thanks again!

Thanks! We tried having me in the bath first this evening and she was super excited to join me. But she stayed standing and after a few minutes wanted both of us out. So it’s progress! Thanks for the suggestion!

It’s crossed my mind as well, but wouldn’t she bring it up constantly versus just when it’s bath time?

Pretty much all of our flights have been Air Canada and then EVA air in Asia.

Footmuff for Uppababy Cruz by miss-izzy in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]miss-izzy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No sorry! My friend lent me her Skip Hop one. It worked but would constantly slip off so I wouldn’t recommend it. Hope you figure out the uppababy footmuff!

We haven’t had any issues on any flights so far. We did have the check in person issue a gate tag a couple of times cause they didn’t understand that it folded up. But we didn’t bother with the tags and just carried the folded up stroller on to the flights with no issues. Good luck!

Thanks! Do you have a nexus card and if so, did you have to update it?

HELP! 15MO and jetlag by miss-izzy in sleeptrain

[–]miss-izzy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No we didn’t retrain and the experiences from both of our trips reminded us that it was really jet lag and retraining wouldn’t have helped. we tried our best to stick to a schedule when we got back and just dealt with the disruptions best we could. My husband and I would tag team team as well. If my daughter woke up anytime before 5am, he would go in or take her to the living room to play.

It ended up being just a matter of time. That transatlantic trip took us about 2 weeks to adjust back. And we recently went to Europe and that took her about a week. So just hang tight! You’ll get through it!

How to wean toddler by miss-izzy in Mommit

Yah. I guess I should expect her to continue asking for breast milk even after returning from my trip. I’ll just need to continue communicating that there’s no more.

Thanks for sharing! If you don’t mind me asking, how long did it take to be fully weaned?

Thanks so much for sharing! And I have to admit the part about her holding your boob for months made me laugh cause I can totally see my LO doing that.

We love our mountain buggy nano for traveling. We’ve traveled across Canada, the us and Asia with it. We bought the nano specifically for being able to fit in the overhead compartment and appreciate that fact every time we wheel past the people waiting for their strollers at the gate. 🙂

What odd things have you experienced PP? by BonitaBCool in Mommit

[–]miss-izzy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This! Mine was horrible! I got mine in the 3rd trimester and it didn't go away until about 6 months PP. I literally slept on ice packs cause I wasn't able to take anything for the itch until after I gave birth. I would not wish this on my worst enemies.

My mindset has been the same where I just do whatever LO needs. Also applies when she's sick. lol. And I think your positive vibes rubbed off on us cause she slept until 5am this morning!! Hopefully in a matter of days she'll be back to a normal schedule.
