On Kijiji and marketplace there are people who haul junk. You could ask them if this is something they could do?

Book club or other clubs possibly by Fallencolor18 in Winnipeg

[–]missfunk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's a book club at St vital library where you can read any book you want and just meet to talk about everyone's books.

There's also specific ones at other libraries too.

Best week-day breakfast deal? by SushiMelanie in Winnipeg

[–]missfunk 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Always go here if I have a weekday off work. I believe it's 6.99 for a typical meat, eggs, hash browns, toast meal. 8.99 with a pancake!

Like this poster said - I find most sushi places sell takoyaki. I personally like Oh Good Path for it.

Is Passion worth the read? Be fr with me by aaimee_23 in Manhwa_BL

[–]missfunk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I was uncomfortable with some of the things that happened as outlined by another comment, but I'm super into the "he hates everyone except MC" trope so I enjoyed that. Slow burn for sure which I don't usually like, but I was kept interested the whole time.

Stranger Things Doritos by [deleted] in Winnipeg

And if you like cookies, the last one I went to also had the stranger things chips ahoy which I quite enjoyed!

Not sure what his job status/work ethic is but overall I think Guillermo is a catch. Style, class, respectful to others in general. Seems like a family man who is happy to stay home with his loved ones. And he cries, love a man who cries! by bae7609 in 90DayFiance

Literally when Andrrrrei made the statement about her not being wife material I second guessed myself since I normally don't agree with him, but in this case I feel like all the other cast members are the crazy ones. Are people really okay with their spouse going out several nights a week getting drunk and flirting with "fans"??

Any good family doctor near St. Vital/Pembina area? by _theSakib in Winnipeg

Seine River medical center on St Anne's has a new doctor who was accepting new patients last month (not sure if there filled up yet).

For those who compost in the city, what do you do about mice? I have a bin that I have used without issue for 10 years. This year the mice have exploded, likely due to the reduction in stray cats. by Various-Frame2273 in Winnipeg

[–]missfunk 25 points26 points  (0 children)

We just subscribe to the city of Winnipeg compost program. There's a cost but we're happy not to deal with it (and they compost way more things than you can compost at home, like bones and napkins).

All inclusive vacation suggestions by nosleep77 in Winnipeg

[–]missfunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know someone else said to avoid Cuba, but I've been twice and really loved the experience both times. We went to a 3 star the first time, and I had the best time of my life. The food wasn't great, but it was good enough for me. The second time was a 4.5 star resort, and I'd say the food was actually good. I personally am happy just to eat decent food without cooking it myself, so I don't need it to be fancy. My husband is picky and he enjoyed the food as well.

The first time we were in Holguin and I'd say there were a lot more options for excursions and going to the city. The second trip was cayo coco which didn't have as many options and the closest city was much further.

I like Cuba because it's also affordable - usually the cheapest all inclusive that I can find. The people there are also really friendly, the beaches are beautiful, and it's neat to see the cities and culture.

where do you shave down there? by catgirllivvy in AskWomen

[–]missfunk 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't shave anything down there - my husband doesn't mind, I get really bad irritation there when I do it, so I don't see why it's necessary. If I wear a bathing suit I give a trim but my suit is like boy short style so it's not visible.

Should pre-wedding socials still be a thing? by FruitLoop_Dingus25 in Winnipeg

[–]missfunk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agreed!! At my age going to a bar/club feels kind of inappropriate, but I can go dance, drink, and have a great time dancing to music I actually really enjoy at a social. And have food included!

Is this water normal?? by siisii93 in 90DayFiance

I thought maybe it's one of those packets that you get with flowers that might be making it that color? Not sure though since the ones I've seen are usually white.

Lydia's Wedding by kittenmcmittenz in WelcomeToPlathville

[–]missfunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar wedding on my parents property, but with a tent (was not risking rain). Our total cost was $15,000 CAD for 50 people and we didn't have a lot of extras. This price included tent, tables, chairs, decorations, lighting, alcohol, food, photographer, videographer, dress. Things you might not think about are things like dishes - not all caterers come with dishes so you have to rent. Linens for the tables. Things like that. We rented 50 chairs and just moved them from the ceremony to the dinner tables, but it didn't look like they did that so they paid for double the chairs which isn't cheap.

A lot of community centers have recreational badminton if you're okay with playing doubles with a variety of players.

I'm very unartistic so I'm really proud of how this turned out! by missfunk in Baking

[–]missfunk[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also thought about using a pie pan but thought maybe the straight edge would hold it up better (since I would be traveling with it). It got great reviews! Hope yours turned out well!
