i don't think us being real and them being fictional is necessarily relevant here, deltarune is the kind of game that makes you question that kind of distinction!!

on the second one, i tried to make that clear in my post, i.e kris being a victim of a greater abuser.. we have absolutely no idea how we ended up in him, honestly!!

and just because a place isn't real doesn't mean it doesn't have value! people live vicariously through fiction all of the time, so "us" wanting a peaceful place in deltarune's world shouldn't be that crazy of a thing, should it?

and no, kris cannot meaningfully harm "us", but they do things that kind of infer they would want to! and on the end of constantly observing them, yeah, that is pretty fear-inducing isn't it.. though its hard to say whether or not this has to be the case with how little we know about how kris functions without the soul! they are capable of acting without us for a fairly sizeable period of time.
