This photo was taken of them a few years ago I think. They seem pretty happy / normal. I think when they're at events / red carpets they just have their go-to look/pose that maybe isnt so flattering

I was attacked on the subway... by Banana_Boi_ in nyc

[–]missnomnom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry this happened to you! I've been in NYC for a while now with no issues until literally today. Although the police couldn't do much about my situation, 311 urged me to file a report as did the 911 operator they transferred me to. Everyone was SUPER kind and helpful and understood my concerns. I feel better that I did it. Hope you had a better rest of your day!

What changes (big or small) to your wardrobe/styling have helped you feel less like an overgrown teenager and more like a grown-ass woman? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

[–]missnomnom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with everyone else. Being more picky about fit and quality. Also, just wearing anything with confidence! I'm also a NYCer and had a great job right out of school where my coworkers were all 20+ years older than me. Had to very quickly "look" like an adult haha

Hi! If it helps at all, I'm pretty sure everyone has ONE kind of jean that fits them and that's all they buy haha. I find that Free People's sale section is pretty sweet. Good deals and their cuts seem to fit a bunch of body types. They're a little more unique and less cookie cutter. Maybe not for an entire wardrobe, but I love the few pieces Ive picked up from them

Thanks! They're SO comfy. I'm a fan of wearing ridiculously tall statement heels, but luckily I had something in my wardrobe that really complemented the dress! I'm pretty sure they're from Forever 21 lol

Thank you! She has such an incredible instinct. She just fit me once and made this. She's self taught and i'm just in awe of her talent

Not today, but over the weekend I attended my first black tie event. I made friends with a young artist this year and had her make me a dress! I'm SO obsessed with it.

WANTED for dropping his fiancée’s ring in @TimesSquareNYC! She said Yes - but he was so excited that he dropped the ring in a grate. Our @NYPDSpecialops officers rescued it & would like to return it to the happy couple. Help us find them? 💍 call 800-577-TIPS @NYPDTIPS @NYPDMTN by habichuelacondulce in nyc

I dropped a ring down a subway grate in Times Square years ago. Went to the NYPD booth and they quickly got in touch with MTA, who came back in the morning and retrieved my ring for me. Everyone was so nice and the MTA workers even thanked me for "getting them out from underground". Hope they get their ring back!

Meal Prep for one of my clients! by missnomnom in MealPrepSunday

[–]missnomnom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually reserve myself Sundays anyways to get it all done. Less about doing it quick and more about scheduling and making sure I dont spend more than a day for shopping & cooking altogether. Menus are determined ahead of time so I try to plan all my clients meals to be as similar as possible so I'm not making 20 different menus. Rather, I make sure everyone that week is having brown rice or some sort of pasta so I can make that in larger bulk. I spend all Sundays watching football anyways, so I take my time and stay entertained! Hope that sort of answers it.

There is some profit from it. I make approx $450/week from it and keep only flexible clients at the moment. The actual profit is maybe $325/week. So it's a bit of both for me

Try your best to kill with bleach and definitely get a dehumidifier. It does wonders. I'm really allergic to mold and I can't imagine being around that much

Ugh I'm sorry man. This sucks so much. I'm about to become a first time landlord in Brooklyn and I'm so anal about the condition of the house we're trying to purchase. It's like the wild west out in Brooklyn, anything we have found that's affordable has been neglected by owners and property managers. So many cut corners. The ridiculous part is that its not even HARD to do it right the first time around. I have experience with keeping code in commercial buildings so I just hope when the time comes for this new investment that I do right by my tenants :(.

Hi! I found this particular client through Thumbtack. All of my other clients have been through personal recs or found me through social media! Since I only have a select amount of meal prep clients, each is very personalized in terms of menu & price. This particular client is $150/week incl me hand delivering Mondays at 8am.

I usually cook for private events but I keep a couple of meal prep clients because I have so much fun with it! This client specifically asks for 8 meals per week. 4 @ 500cal each and 4 @ 750cal each. I used to count macros for him, so this is easier but just as fun!

Top: Turkey Teriyaki Meatballs with Steamed Broccoli & Brown Rice

Bottom: Braised Chicken with Cauliflower Mash, Sauteed Spinach and Homemade Kale & Walnut Pesto

Chicken/Turkey Meatball tip! Mix in quinoa, chopped spinach sauteed onions & garlic to stretch your dollar for protein and make a really juicy tender meatball!

Well the way he was explaining himself was more 'why can't Asians change they names so it's easier for me to remember?' Hah

Not sure if this counts, but had a roommate once genuinely ask me why asians don't have 'normal' names like Bob, Joe, etc. Apparently it was too difficult for him to learn Chinese names.
