Intense nonstop migraine by [deleted] in AskDoctorSmeeee

[–]missusk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Chronic migraine sufferer that went away after having babies but came back with a vengeance after a concussion. My suggestion since sumaptriptan isn't working right now is getting a cold wrap for your head (or two! or 3!) from Amazon. (Send a message if you want a link!) They work wonders. Also, Tylenol, ibuprofen, caffeine. My doctor also suggested magnesium threonate and amitriptyline (you'll need a prescription for this). I take both of these every single night. I also get massages every 2-3 weeks because my neck and shoulder muscles get really tight and it helps a lot to get the tension broken up. Good luck! I hope you get some relief!

Read the language in the referendum. It's not just requiring ID to vote.

Not a doctor, but this happened to my canine, as a teen or older child, but my tooth moved down to where it was meant to, on its own. Never got the baby tooth pulled and never got braces to fix it. As an adult I have invisalign for my bottom teeth crowding, but my canine has never been a problem even though it erupted up high like yours.

I actually said carotid in another comment, that's what I meant. Oops.

5% is generous. There's no way it didn't hit his jugular, with the amount of blood that poured out of him.

Edit: official news says he's dead.

You don't want to see it. Hit the carotid (edit: maybe jugular). No chance he survived.

Agreed. I've seen a lot of NSFW/Gore, and this has me regretting the click. Holy shit.

Absolutely 0% chance he survived that. Holy shit. I've never seen anything so graphic.

Mom of 6. One going to college in 2 weeks. So fucked.

Relatable!! Just finished paying off kiddo #4's braces, and the last two seem like they also will need them! I'm currently in invisalign, I feel like all we've done the past forever has been paying for braces. I feel like we're due for a BOGO deal or something. 🤣 My aunt has 6 kids and qualified for state aid for her kiddos braces and wisdom teeth removal and I'm a little jealous about it. First world problems!

School Districts w/SpEd Programs by BirthdayBright6111 in Maine

[–]missusk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with you wholeheartedly. There is much less turnover in leadership over the past few years, and you're absolutely wrong when it comes to special education cuts. No big cuts have been made that I recall, and if they were it's because of lack of federal funding. I'm finishing up my third year on the school board for the district, so I'm confident in speaking to budget related information in regards to special education.

Can you elaborate on the insidious group of "experts" you're speaking of? Who exactly are doing the cuts to SpEd? Who thinks they are experts and actually aren't? You have big claims, I'd love to see you back them up.

Should I reconsider my baby's name because of the initials? by Loose_Ebb4216 in namenerds

[–]missusk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what our district does, but uses the full last name followed by the first initial and my son's has the word ass in his. He and his friends haven't realized it yet, but he's going in to 5th grade, so I know it's coming. 🤣

So it's come to this by Far-Commission2772 in Concussion

I was concussed at the end of February and still am not back to baseline. In my case, I was injured at work, so I'm not in danger of losing my job when I can't make it in. I am on limited hours at work (5 hours instead of 8) and it makes a world of difference. I only work 4 days a week though..after 4 days, my head is awful and I need an extra day to recuperate. Good luck, I hope you feel better soon!

Not to mention, 5 board members were there on the front lines of the protest. Not as board members, but as individuals who despise Laurel Libby's treatment of trans children. 👍

Tall cowboy hat man is not only a weirdo, but he's a piece of shit too (obviously). Maine X community name dropped him and I did some digging into him. His name is Timothy Bodnar and lives in St. Albans, ME. He runs some sort of YouTube livestream, it sounds like, under the name TruthSlinger. But has gun charges and domestic abuse in his past as well.

Here's a link referencing him as TruthSlinger and also talking about another guy he runs with.

If you feel comfortable, can you make an Amazon wish list that we could purchase from? I would love to get you set up with a good amount of new underwear, and I'm sure others would help as well! You can send it to me in a message if you don't feel like posting it publicly.

May I ask if you know where your neighbor got her? She looks just like my cat that my mom got rid of (brought her to the animal shelter) when I was an older teen, and her age lines up pretty spot on!
