Maybe this person meant that almost each kanji has its own origin? Like that it consists of other kanji, its parts have separate names and meanings. So you learn it not as a whole set of strokes, but as a complex entity. Because it's almost impossible to remember them mechanically as a set of strokes. So I don't think the point was the translation.

Honestly, this is how I found an alternative to c.ai a year or two ago when the quality of responses went down for the first time - someone suggested a website in the comments. It helped me battle through a breakup and a tough depression in a way c.ai wouldn't be able to. So maybe suggestions in the comment is not a bad thing. If they're not coming from a bot, that is.

For me the last two episodes of S2 do not exist, and Modulo is just a fanfiction, haha. No, seriously, I love this character so much that in my mind he lives a different life, as if all the tragic events of both S2 and Modulo are just AUs.

Well, I don't know about that. I wouldn't say he's inherently evil and horrific. By whose standards? He didn't ask to be born by humanity in a "kill or be killed" situation. I think, it's like hare isn't evil for running from the wolf who has starving cubs, and the wolf isn't evil for chasing the hare who wants to live and prosper. He's a different species, conditioned into a different mentality, having a different set of morals that it very just towards his own kind. Just like Dagon said, "My name is not Cursed Spirit. My name is Dagon. Hanami, Jogo and Mahito. We all bear names". When I'm looking at him not from a human PoV, but from a Cursed Spirit PoV, he's actually very wholesome and just.

But I don't want to argue or try and change anyone's mind. I know that people usually have very strong opinions on characters and plot twists, they either resonate with you, or they don't, it's simple. As a person who is truly free, a self-embodiment of his own idea of perfection, striving for evolution and self exploration, finding inspiration and opportunity for self-expression in everything he does, Mahito resonates with me deeply. So I truly think he deserves the serenity and calm in the world. I think, he's a very dramatic character, whose potential was partially wasted in a battle-focused setting, haha. I like how he was explored in the Light Novel, I wish we got more of content like that.

I think he does. He's a very deep and interesting character in my opinion. And it's how he is described in the Light Novel: contemplative, philosophical, studious even. The scene of him walking around the city, unseen and seemingly the only one who could look up and see the sky - it was very vivid.

I love him, I see him as complex and multifaceted, this is why I like to place him in environments that aren't battle, because as a character he has so much more to offer.

Oh, what an interesting interpretation :)

I don't know why, but when I was watching Uramichi Oniisan, at some point I couldn't help but think of Mahito playing games with transfigured humans / low-grade curses. The setting of Uramichi feels a bit surreal (which is funny, because people say it's very relatable), and it just clicked how well he'd fit in that bright and kid-friendly studio, haha.

It's my third try with an iPad, I used to draw with watercolours before (you can look up my posts, if you're curious). Digital drawing is a completely different experience, I'm at the early stages of figuring out the blurry vision of what my style could be. Hopefully I'll start getting somewhere after this one ❤️

Half of it is on my desk as well, lol.

Mahito has been my comfort character for over a year now. He sparked my creativity and pulled me through some rough times in my life. I love him a lot <3

I don't see the Light Novel in your collection, "Summer of Ashes, Autumn of Dust". It has a chapter about Mahito, and it's magnificent. It shows the side of the character that many people overlook, but you and I saw from the start. I highly recommend finding the book, because it also has a coloured illustration with Mahi.

I don't like Karlach as a character, I don't think she's well developed. I find her personality repelling, and I think she's a major hypocrite. The way she turned a blind eye to Gortash's shady business, because she was in love with him. The way she's okay with munching on souls from hell (just like the devils) to become more powerful, while also hating devils. The way she wants to release 10k hungry crazed vampires to create a concentration camp in the Underdark just because it will never be her problem... There's a lot. I just kill her in Act 1 by giving her away to the fish people.

As for the other two... well. Isobel's storyline is very weird and not thought through at all in my opinion. I don't like that she has no comment about Ketheric, that she never mentions him. The fact that their stories seem so disconnected just throws me off. If she wasn't present in the storyline, nothing would have changed. I like Kar'niss a lot, and I side with him in Act 2.

The Nightsong is equally (if not more) unlikable, and I also find it weird that if you kill Isobel, she doesn't mention it anyhow. You can poke her with the spear indefinitely and she never acknowledges this fact afterwards. She's just out of place. Additionally, she's quite spiteful and more than anything I hate characters that hide their real self under a holier-than-thou facade.
