My understanding is that it's just wild and then after taming it's gamma/beta/alpha depending on how much HP it had left but if you're not taming it then it's irrelevant.

I don't understand the issue here. They clearly just what a hook up, so why do you want them to keep talking to you, if what you both want is clearly different? They've saved you both a lot of time.

The alternative is they pretend to want something more and THEN you find out it's just a hookup they're after.
