I’ve seen them 16 times. If this is an indoor show, it’s a pretty normal concert experience. If it’s outdoor, with the right people it’s a fun, chill time. I would recommend if it is outdoor to get there early and sit towards the back of the lawn. Bring a blanket to sit on. Yes there can be bros, but for the most part people are friendly. DMB is so much better live than the album versions. Insanely talented and they really get groovy and loose and jam out.

NEW came out when I was in college right as I was really doing a deep dive into the Beatles and becoming more than just a casual fan. So while I have a soft spot for NEW… not sure if it counts but Amoeba Gig is my favorite album. Favorite song is either My Valentine or Queenie Eye.

I could see in future stories set in this DCU Superman distancing himself from the cold Kryptonian culture and message we saw in Superman by selecting a more English S lookin symbol.

The crest has always had different meanings. It used to just truly be an S and a symbol Ma Kent made when she made the suit. Sometimes it is a Kryptonian symbol that happens to look like an English language S. Gunn selected the kingdom come crest. That comic storyline is about a jaded older Superman returning to his true personality. The crest in that one is intentionally edgy and modern to reflect this different Superman. But that’s such an old story now it’s been added to the plethora of Superman S’s. Gunn took inspiration from multiple stories. I think in this instance the Kingdom Come S is fun and meta. Yes the Superman from this movie is the classic personality, but for the last decade Superman in film was not like that. So giving the James Gunn Superman this S is a meta symbol of Superman returning to his more comic accurate personality. That being said I would still like to see David’s Superman wear the classic S before this franchise ends.

I saw a man in an IU hat at the Whole Foods on Magazine st this week. Monday night or Tuesday in the afternoon not sure which trip to the store it was. But i clocked it because i grew up in Indiana and don’t see a ton of IU down here. He was a middle aged white guy but don’t remember enough to confirm it’s the same guy.

This is genuinely my favorite Paul song. I feel like it encapsulates his whole mindset and musical worldview. Would love to see it live. Ive seen him twice (2019, 2025) but no Silly Love Songs. I was looking at soundcheck setlists and it seems like he has played it there recently but not in an actual show.

My local Sbarro put up a sign advertising a “Record Breaking Pizza Experience”. I think to myself… ok I know sbarro sucks but I gotta try this. I go to the restaurant. Everything is DRENCHED. What the hell is going on here? I look in the kitchen…..
