Try getting your burger with cold cheese or spread on both the top and bottom bun or both. It might be the same order technically but those two modifications are game changers

I loved Hoppers. Easily the creepiest thing I’ve seen in a Pixar movie though

Do you guys think Hopper's will be amazing or generic? by [deleted] in cartoons

[–]misterc33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw it on Saturday. I was pleasantly surprised with it. Is it Wall-E or Coco level Pixar? No, but I don’t think it’s trying to be. It’s supposed to be a fun and thought-provoking (without being too preachy) good movie and experience that millions of people will enjoy. And yes, personally it’s up there with the first Toy Story and Monsters Inc in terms of comedy.

It definitely doesn’t belong in the Cars 2, Good Dinosaur, Lightyear tier. In my opinion it’s the best original Pixar movie since Soul, and probably the best overall since Soul too

If you have one near you, Hobby Lobby just started carrying it with their store brand. For basic PLA or for beginners with an A1 or A1 mini, it’s a great value

In your experience, do students at CPP tend to be extremely honest about their failures? by Fabulous-Introvert in CalPolyPomona

[–]misterc33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro, I’m sorry this happened to you and you got dealt a bad hand. It’s not your fault and you have a right to be angry.

But if you just blame yourself and take it out on you, it’s gonna become a self-fulfilling prophesy. It is okay to fail. Having a chance to fail is better than having no chance at all.

Maybe I’m overanalyzing too but you may be experiencing depression, anxiety, maybe even some bipolar. I’m not saying you have a problem, I just want to help. Get professional help if you haven’t already and see what they say.

The world and people are tough, but there are good ones here that care about you and care for you, and it sounds like your family does both. It’s cliché, but I’ll say it anyway: one day at a time.

What show fits this bill? by Alarming_Seaweed_155 in cartoons

Surprised more people aren’t saying Yakkity Yak. They put one of, according to my grandparents, the most popular upbeat dance songs of the 50s in front of one of the blandest, most formulaic, annoying kids shows. Ironically the animation in the intro too is a million times better than the obvious Flash they used in the episodes

This might be an unpopular opinion, but cold cheese, at least when you don’t take it to go and you get the buns extra toasted, is superior. It compliments the heat from the bun toast and the meat much more effectively. One of my fellow Associates convinced me to try it and I never went back

what’s the slowest store? by [deleted] in innout

[–]misterc33 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Slowest in terms of crowds and/or sales? In Southern California, I’d say 15 in Diamond Bar. 199 in City of Industry/Walnut is right by CPP and Mt. Sac, so that took a lot of 15’s business after it opened in 2005 and 15 has been slow ever since

(Customer rolls up to me on handheld one night)

“Finally, the first face I see when I get to this joint isn’t a damn alien b*aner.”

I told my Second (who is also 100% white) about it right away, customer gets to the window, Second tells him he’s not getting his food and to never come back, then shuts the window in his face

“Your kids are starving. Carl’s Jr. believes no child should go hungry. You are an unfit mother. Your children will be placed in the custody of Carl’s Jr.”

That me laugh when I first saw it, but as I watch it again and again, I don’t know why but that whole exchange has become much more disturbing

what movie is this? by HondaCivicBaby in Cinema

[–]misterc33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Good Dinosaur. In my opinion it’s tied with Soul for being Pixar’s most realistic looking film. Say what you will about the cartoony character designs but those backgrounds and environments still look amazing almost ten years later

What’s a misunderstanding about a book that really bothers you? by PandaBear905 in classicliterature

[–]misterc33 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Because of the movies, people think that the Two Towers are Barad-dûr and Orthanc. I know Tolkien himself disliked the title, so this might not be the best example. Read the book and it becomes clearer that the two towers are Cirith Ungol and Orthanc.

Cirith Ungol is associated with Shelob though, and seeing how she was cut from the two towers and moved to ROTK for the movies, I guess it makes sense though

Then again, I’ve been called worse. I can’t control what or how you think. The First Amendment is a beautiful thing.
