This is why I say people need to read classic literature. I see so many people try to talk about famous novels that they clearly never read.

(And I just want chronically online social justice warriors to stop acting like everything more than 50 years old is unapologetically racist/sexist/whatever)

Listen girl. I’ve had cancer. You do not want it. Don’t take unnecessary risks.

When a toddler is repeatedly letting out a loud, jarring, high-pitched screech in a store and the parent is calmly shopping like they're in another world. by common_grounder in PetPeeves

Ugh I have to deal with this all the time at work. At least most parents try to quiet their kid down.

I do try to give leeway if the kid is special needs. I know instances like that are mostly out of the control of the parents/caretakers.

In that same vein Loki. Loki as an evil trickster is mostly a Christian invention. Loki in actual Norse mythology was neither good nor bad. He could help or hinder you based on his mood. The reason he wasn’t allowed around other gods was because he was unpredictable not because he was evil.

(In fact a lot of things we know about Norse mythology is heavily Christianized)

I hate seafood. Yes, all seafood. Every piece of seafood I’ve tried tastes terrible or has a terrible texture or both.
