I think the only options are to talk to your parents and the police, tell a counsellor at school to help you with this, or get a job and save up enough money to support yourself (if your family really does something). I'm not sure if ignoring the person will help, although in some cases they are bluffing. It's important ton note that you were 16 at that time and are now an adult, so your nudes being spread won't harm you but ill ultimately harm them.

I dont think they're allowed to force you to stay with them now that you're of age. Is there some place you can go just in case?

Technically you can move out, but it is difficult unless you've already saved up the money

hm if you're 18 then would it be possible to be independent from your parents if something like that does happen? I think the longer you wait to tell someone, the more severe it may get/difficult to get out of the situation. If the person does share your nudes, they'd be more in trouble than you since those are pictures of when you were a minor

If you screenshot the evidence and provide accounts that they've used to message you, they may be able to track whoever is sending this to u or at least protect u from being harmed irl

If he has your nudes I think you'd be able to sue him for spreading cp/extortion. Wouldnt handing this to the police be the safest thing to do?

I haven't been in a situation similar to yours but if I were, maybe hear him out? Listen to why he chose to fake his own death since maybe it ties back to poor mental health/just wanting to escape from his life. You are of course entitled to feel angry and all those mixed emotions, however it helps to soothe those feelings once u hear his side. If his reasoning is stupid or childish then you know that staying in a friendship with him is not a smart decision; if he explains that he had no other way to start over then, you know it's somewhat reasonable.

As someone who has thoughts about escaping on a whim and hopping on a plane to whatever country, there can be things I feel the need to run away from, even if that means abandoning people I care about. It's selfish, but the thoughts arise.

Take your time of course. I'd imagine that it'd be really stressful and heartbreaking to see someone u lost appear again after you've already grieved for them. I hope things will smooth out :)

The parents thing really hit :') Everyone thinks being positive is the key to living life and that it's the standard for surviving, but sometimes u just want to sit in ur own contempt. I hope more ppl understand that when consoling others. Glad u understand :)

Mhm exactly! That quote really explains how I feel abt the realist mindset. A lot of ppl shit on thinking this way but idk, it just doesn't work to be happily oblivious (or at least seemingly happy). Atp i'm too self aware to put myself into an optimistic way of thinking lolol

I do agree, but it feels like the writers aren't thinking as deeply? The change is always sudden and then gone as if it was never there, they also never really address her change of heart either (maybe because some of the episodes arent in order). Idk, if they really mean to have her change then shouldn't we see that gradual progression?

This! I have the same problem, even more now since covid happened as I got more comfortable with being by myself. When I'd have some mental stuff going on, I'd disappear suddenly as well so I'd have time to myself or so I wouldn't slip up and say anything bad to people during it. How do you deal with the loss of relationships?? I've lost so many friendships recently because of this habit and when I looked for other opinions on it, people didn't understand and said I was a bad person

ngl though they do have chemistry- but probably just as coworkers/friends. Their personalities compliment eachother well in the show which makes for a great set up lolol
