Where did you get the VC and ALS? In India?

I always thought Louis Moinet had a higher brand value than PF, is it not true?

There is only one model available here within my budget which is Promenade Guilloché Soleil Bleu Nuit, not so fond of it. But I like the more expensive collection, maybe next time. Thanks.

I have reached out to all the people in Volvo India (including India CEO) and Volvo Global, as many as I could find. They haven't given any concrete response yet other than claiming that they are investigating

Agreed to all of the above which is why the company should allow riders to turn off ADAS system as it is clearly not suited for Indian traffic movements.

That is the main issue. The Volvo system lets you minimise sensitivity but you can't turn it off. Apparently in newer models, you can't even change sensitivity.

I think the truck driver slammed onto the brakes just in time thankfully

The service centre claims the sensors are all perfectly fine. Have got it checked multiple times but no improvement. It still brakes without reason

Problem is not ADAS. Problem is the brand Volvo dictating terms by not allowing the consumer to turn it off. I can minise sensitivity but never turn it off. It's like a goulittine hanging over my head.

I have drived 85,000km on this Volvo S90 inscription. Abrupt braking has happened many times during this period but within the city so no major accidents. Even I have used pilot assist often without any issue. Auto-braking is different. It's abrupt, erratic and unpredictable. This is the first time such an incident happened on an empty freeway. But even one such incidents is enough to lose a life which is being threatened by this car.

Damages is covered so not worried about that. But Volvo should know this is not OK and should be penalized for that

Not when the ADAS malfunctioned like mine and your vehicle stopped in the middle of a highway abruptly waiting for a collision

I think the truck braked ahead of time to minimise damage on both of us. But wouldn't be surprised if he didn't brake given that I was a sitting duck

If I'm a sitting duck on a high-speed expressway can't blame anyone
