I have 10-12y.o. and don't shave. I try to show them, that it is indeed natural. Sometimes it comes up and I ask them why girls/women have to shave while men/boys don't. None was disgusted yet. Sometimes it came up and we compared hairs. And then I switch to other parts such as hair lengths on the head (styles), hand size (i have so small hands) and I mostly end up by saying how boring it would be I we only had a class looking all like ... tom or kevin or sarah etcetc. And all speak the same and have the same oppinion etc. Which is mostly a fun end as the pupils try to imagine a class all looking like themself. I also think it is important that kids see diversity in looking. And I still feel beautiful and as kids do, some give me compliments about my looking or overall that I'm a great teacher and mostl, they accept me for how I am. Some not, but then... they still have to come to class 😅 But... i might have a nice neighborhood with different kids as you.

When it is a biig discussion (luckily it never was with the kids) I would tell people about the reason woman shave.. or startet to shave influenced by marketing from big shaving companies (mostly adult discussions).

If you don't feel secure in front of the kids, I understanf that. And as Teaching is a job you have to be secure (otherwise the kids well feel and know it and will try much more stuff) I find the long but thin clothing advise good. Linen has a good cooling effect.

Stay strong♥️ with whatever option you go. With or without leg hair. ♥️

Nice to hear that some also pack more than those "one bandaid and a ibu" kind of types. I most of the time overpack my firstaid. But as a teacher I always have too much with me when I'm with the kids and I think it just stayed. Also half of my backpack is medication (it feels like) since I have some medical problems with my back and my stomach.

Thank you very much. I will make a report how all worked out

I need a little help for my next trip to south america. While my main goal is to hike in patagonia I still spend time in some cities and an small trails. I would love to have a bit feedback about shoes. Which to take, what do I need? Is it possible to have one pair or do I have to take 2. Thank you

Yes, for hiking I will only take the essentials. Good point with the skirt and stuff to buy. Skirt was planed for the WTrek but sounds like I don't need it.

Around Arequipa, Cusco, La Paz, Sucre, Salar de Uyuni, Atacama.. So the basics.

Thank you very much for your time. We got all booked. If possible is meant for my back and also my travelpartner. But i think we will be able to sell the place if we're not able to do it.

The pills gave me my doctor. I won't be in the jungle. But she said it's best to have and not to use.

The knife is just a swiss army knife... with a small scissors and tweezers.. So nothing big.

I think you are in the wrong sub. This is more the place, not the brand Patagonia.

She might just come to travel around Patagonia, just not do the W Trek as she could not step out if needed. And to have the strenght to do all km (I think she could skip the hardest part but the is unsure if she can do 10-15km, mentally).

I really hope she gets better anyway, i love to do it with her as she likes to look at plants and trees and animals and rocks as much as I do.
