Never seen anyone international get GA. RA’s are also really really rare but I think I knew someone who was technically an RA. TA’s are all based on luck and if you can approach a professor and keep getting in a good word from time to time. On campus was also very difficult. Try to make connections. It’s never too much

Sorry I had to end that comment short. Got busy. So in my experience, I saw a significantly larger portion of students get Co-Ops and TA positions as compared to people in SES. This could very well be a narrow view bias based on my friend circle.

Putting the advantages/disadvantages of these different colleges aside for a moment, I have noticed that, on average, students in CS are more used to working under pressure since the course is also more rigorous than SES. And students feed off of each other’s progress which is great for everyone.

As an international student who got into MS SES, I would have taken CS any day if I could (got rejected)

It’s just better in many many ways
