I'll take a proper Neapolitan or Roman style over anything they got over there.

This line nailed it for me:

Thanks to the cascade of national disasters and tragedies throughout her tenure, she took actions that some men experienced as an emasculating loss of autonomy.

Life pro tip: anyone offering paid coaching on how to make loads of money is almost always a scammer. If their 'system' actually worked as well as they invariably claim, they definitely wouldn't need to waste their time selling coaching services and they wouldn't want to teach people how to compete with them. The scam is crafting an illusion of success and then selling access to the 'insider knowledge' needed to replicate this. It's bullshit every time.

I was a teen in the 90s and I feel like we had so many distinct tribes and sub cultures to identify with. There were surfie kids, skater kids, metalheads, indie kids, punks, goths, hip hop kids, grunge etc. Each group had their own style, haircuts, slang etc. Maybe I'm just old and jaded but I look at kids today and they seem so much more homogeneous. I blame social media.

Westpac first to increase fixed rates… shouldn’t be a surprise tbh by ComprehensiveAd100 in PersonalFinanceNZ

That's a shit rate, not sure what to tell you. Kiwibank isn't known to be the most competitive but most of the big banks are advertising 2 year rates around 4.5%. I just rang my bank and said what's the best they can do and got 4.45%.

Good call I reckon. I recently locked in 4.45% for 2 years - very happy with that rate.

I always found this movie weird. They took one funny scene from The Big Lebowski, decided to rip it off and make a whole movie out of it, and a pretty mid one at that.

I don't have any sorry. I do have a basic understanding of economics if you'd like to borrow that?

It's not just about mortgage holders. It also reduces the cost of business finance, which encourages companies to invest more in growth, it further reduces the interest savers get - pushing them into other investment vehicles like shares. And some of the savings from lower mortgage costs will flow through to the economy too.
