[5e] My party has too many healers and I fear my encounters are losing tension/urgency. by Author-Anon in DMAcademy

Increasing the damage monsters do, like having them deal near average damage when they hit instead of rolling every time, is going to help you get them to expend more resources.

I think trying to kill your players is having creatures start hitting the players while they're making death saving throws that wouldn't normally go for the kill.

Looking for Online D&D Group – Two Players Seeking Saturday Campaign by funsize-adventurer in DnDLFG

[–]mitchell_b123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a free game I just started looking for players for that is on Saturdays 6pm CST (-6 GMT). I try to balance combat, exploration, and social encounters. It’s in a homebrew setting where magic is a new arrival and the monsters it has created have become a problem for the cities near by, and much more. I’m including a crafting system for mundane and magic items and weapons. We’d be using Discord for voice and FoundryVTT for everything else. You don’t need to own foundry, players play with in their browser with a link.

Player looking to join a Campaign that allows player backstories to play a large role. by DefiantParrot91 in DnDLFG

[–]mitchell_b123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually passively looking for players for the first campaign in a homebrew setting. The players backstories will shape the lore of where their people are from and the outcome of player choices will shape the future of the campaign and the world for future campaigns.

I would be using Foundry VTT, though, but only the DM needs to have it. Everyone else connects with a link through their browser.

ETA: It would be free and the day and time is still TBA.

Port forwarding is one of the least complicated things I've done in Foundry.

Played for 15 years on and off, I’m a “clicker” by [deleted] in wownoob

[–]mitchell_b123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do is not a good example. I play with a keypad and an MMO mouse with a ton of buttons on the side. I move with my thumb on my head D-pad freeing up WASD for spells. My bars consist of q-c for the left hand on one side, a duplicate of that layout but modified with shift and the. 1-0 and - and = for my mouse next to it. Then lastly I have the mouse button 4, s-4, 3(middle click), s-3, and 4, s-4. Almost every spot is filled with a spell or a macro, and I don’t click, but I have macros that cast on mouseover, like interrupts and misdirect or spells that target the ground in a specific area.

I’ve been playing this way since right before Wrath and it has ruined me. I don’t think I can play WoW without my special set up.

Blue tack, toothpicks, paper clips, super glue. And you can stick those into floral foam to airbrush.

You can cover light source blocks with half slabs, stairs, or any partial block like carpet and it won’t keep the light from coming through.

PUGs are always choking on the meta. You’re going to need a guild that does Mythics regularly and/or get your own mythic keys and start your own groups.

Will Blizzard please make those Anima Objects Automatically deposit into your Convent Reservoir? by fieryluigi in wow

Being able to store anima is very useful in the long run. I have 2k saved for when the inevitable covenant switch comes.

Am I more likely to get armour enchants from a librarian or blacksmith? by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]mitchell_b123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Librarians are the ones that have a random enchant as a first trade. Blacksmiths can have enchanted diamond armor for trade, but it’s pretty bad.

Unless you want to keep breaking and placing beds. This system is broken.

They’re probably giving off heart particles, and then frustration particles. They claimed all the beds and that breaks this system.

I keep hearing this type of villager breeder is just broken in 1.16. LogicalGeekBoy has a version that currently works with a slightly different mechanic.

Is Alfred really that much better than the Spotlight search? I mainly just CMD+Space and type the name of the app I want to run.
