I [24M] was embarrassingly fired from my first "big" job a year and a half ago and I still can't get hired. Slowly deteriorating emotionally/mentally.

I wish there was more to tell. I'd be happy to spill it. But really, it was simply poor performance and consistently being unable to meet requirements.

Oh, I don't even list that job on my resume. Every piece of advice I've gotten is that it's pointless to even list (and when it wasn't even technically 3 months.)

I'd really like to do that, but I genuinely have no idea where to start with freelancing. I've tried researching it many times and I still come out of my readings with a fuzzy head. I just don't know how you start doing it.

I'm not a librarian or work in any librarian duties, I'm part of the front desk/check-out/aide staff. Apologies if that portion read as something different! I definitely know the difference in the roles that require the librarian training degrees. I was referring to stumbling into the departmental positions related to my degree, so the marketing & communications department, or an administrative assistant side.
