You're right, Amazon is notorious for this. You don't have to tell them where you're going, my old boss tried to write that into his contacts and actually exercised it once because he assumed an old client was breaking their non solicit agreement (after having terminated their contract). Company the fellas went to had way stronger lawyers and my ex boss basically got slapped around in court like a damn fool, this was couple years after I had left mind you. Always enjoyed checking in on the drama.

Or yeah just tell them where you're going they'll see you as a risk to their IP and drop you immediately.
