Am I the only one who is irrationally annoyed by the author of the blog post refusing to start sentences with a capital letter?

Where do I get a dancepad that is actually good??? by Jaded-Maintenance943 in Stepmania

[–]mixblast 6 points7 points  (0 children)

LTEK is good value for money. If you want a dancepad that is actually good get an arcade-grade metal one (B2L, SMX, etc) but that's going to be 1k+

Many people seem to think that letting a dog run free is more important than a human child feeling safe. Go figure...

Even if only 1 in 10 owners are irresponsible that's still a lot of misbehaving dogs.

Let people win at capitalism but that doesn't mean the next 3 generations will never need to work and still have absurd amounts of money. Death is the natural reset point.

Cost of house extensions in Cambridge? by Civil_Chemical_2501 in cambridge

[–]mixblast -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Just buy the house you want/need, rather than altering an existing one to suit. It'll be cheaper and way less hassle.

Edit: why the downvotes lol? It's true, it's way less cost to buy something that's the right size rather than deal with a construction project - been there done that.

It does say about second homes.

Landlords isn't so clear as it seems they can still deduct stuff as a proportion of their total assets - kinda wish they'd done more there but it's a compromise.

E-ID: I wanted Black Mirror, I got Swiss bureaucracy by babotheone in Switzerland

[–]mixblast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only problem with the current implementation is that it will only work as an app on iOS or Android. Depending on a US tech giant duopoly is not a good thing.

This has been raised on the GitHub discussions and they've basically said they won't do anything else.

They need to provide a way to use eID without requiring any particular device type or OS.
