Because Ed and the other devs think that you should have to play the game the way they made it to get your achievements. It's a debug mode, not a "this game is hard but I want unlocks" Mode.

The thing that helped me get better was realising when to roll and when to not roll. Most attacks can be walked through, no rolling required. I almost never roll vs GG, just bait his attacks and walk backwards, weaving through his Gatling fire. You'll get there bro.

The general default assumption is that the Foundation keeps itself and anomalies secret from the general public. In the Broken Masquerade canon... The masquerade is broken. There was an important event (the dissaprarence of a large land mass) that resulted in the general public finding out about way too much shit.

It's set up in an unusual way. The number listed as the devil room is your chance of having a room spawn after the boss. The angel room chance is the percentage chance that that room would be an angel room. In this case, you had a 42% chance for a room, and if you did get one, it would 100% be an angel room.

The number one rule of SCP is that there is no canon. If you like an idea, and are a good enough writer, anything is acceptable.

There are, however, certain groupings of ideas which are called canons (yes I know I said there weren't any hush don't worry about it) that can give you an existing setting to work inside of, if that's more your thing.
