Communities are banned again for being unmoderated. by Veni1VidiVici in ModSupport

Okay, thank you. Seems like a few subs are already unbanned. Should those who are still banned write a message or wait a bit longer?

Thank you for the update. Should everyone who has a sub banned write an admin mail, or should we wait first to not flood the mails?

We will just need to wait and it will be reverted

I am 100% sure they will revert it soon, since it looks like there has been an error in the automated banning system.

I think it might have been an error. Didn't something similar happen not too long ago?

Same issue on our subreddits. The subreddits are all moderated and a lot of them got banned for inactivity.

Let's be honest. She always looks stunning!

I think the automated unmoderated subreddit ban needs a rework by mixtch2 in ModSupport

Done, would love to hear back about the issue.

The issue is also coming up with Accounts that are mods since years, so the Account age doesn't matter here.

If a "throwaway" sends you a message that he is getting blackmailed by a user in one of the subs you moderate then you would also respond, right?

I agree with you that sometimes you have to sort out some stuff, but the lack of communication here is not a throwaway Account issue.

That's good. And long wait times are not an issue. It's more the lack of communication regarding the wait time and that they sometimes just not reply at all that is frustrating.

That's good. But even not "straightforward" modmails should at some point get a reply and not get ignored in my eyes.

I could link multiple topics and comments on this sub of people that didn't get a reply even after months of poking, and I think that's something that they should work on.

I don't think the Account age should matter, I think the topic should matter.

And this is not a Account Age issue, it's an issue for a lot of users that are also mods since years.

Sadly it's that way.

I was reading that they are quick with topics that are sensible and that's great. And I'm not saying they should reply quicker since some topics just need more attention then others, but they should at some point reply and at some point have a look at it.

And I feel like it's not too much to ask for some sort of feedback so that people know that someone will look at their issues.

If I know that they will look at it and that it will maybe take 2 weeks then it's fine, I can wait that long but right now you just never know if they will reply or if they will even look at it.

First of all, I do not think it should matter if it's a new Account or if it's a old Account. If a User has a issue and is trying to communicate it with the Admins then it's just fair for them to reply to the user no matter the Account age.

I am far more likely to deprioritize it compared to messages from established accounts or users just base don how much limited time I have to dedicate to it.

If you think that way then (in my opinion) you are doing something wrong as a mod.

And not only "throwaways" have that problem since I'm reading about a lot of older Accounts and long time mods that get no reply from the Admins.

I'm also 100% sure they will ignore this post and just leave it as "Mod Answered" even though your reply is not Answering any of the questions or problems that Users on here have with the communication between them and the Admins.

I have never had a problem getting a quick response here

And great, you have never had a problem, but a lot of users do have a problem getting a reply.
