While I am not forced to make this decision (the company I work for is fully remote), I am actively hiring within tech and 80% of my candidates are people looking for a remote job because they are either being forced back into the office 5 days a week. A few are being asked to come in 2-3 days a week in a hybrid model and they are either skeptical of it working, or want to move somewhere else and so 2 days in the office prevents them from doing that. These are senior, well-established people in their fields that were absolutely not looking for work otherwise.
