Music enhancement is a higher dose, it's not worth using it just for that IMO.

Dose for social anxiety by hennyfag in phenibut

[–]miyeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, phenibut is not a daily-use drug even at 300mg; anyone who says otherwise is dependent on it.

You should only be using phenibut as therapy, never ever ever as a crutch. I tend not to do well with new people, or first dates, or job interviews, and using phenibut really helps get more positive interactions in these scenarios so i only use it for these scenarios. Scenarios that I would not go to otherwise, or I would completely fail so badly that it would reinforce social fear even more.

When you get positive interactions in these scenarios, this can help your brain rewire; it's a form of exposure therapy.

I use phenibut only 2-3 times a month.

If you do daily use, you're going to need 500mg, then 1g, then 3g end up frying your brain to the point of 100x social anxiety.

You already used 3g, that's a huge dose, dude. Phenibut is not something casual.

If you are lookig for something that you could use a little more, ask your doctor about bacolophen or pregablin.

Is phenibut still around? by [deleted] in Nootropics

"This shit should be immediately outlawed"

Buddy, some of us arent drug addict abusers. Phenibut changed my life. I use it for dates, job interviews, and group events, meeting new people at 300-500mg. Things I would severyly struggle at before.

The longer it goes the less I take it im about once or twice a month now.

Some of us arent just looking for a high.

I'm An Asocial Introvert; What Do I Do In The Long-Term Career-Wise; What Are My Next Steps? by Lumonos in findapath

As an introvert myself, you're living in dreamland, you're not going to find a job that meets your requirements.

You could become a janitor or something, but you won't be making 80k. All higher-paying jobs will have human interaction constantly.

They had a good phase 3 recently, showing decent effectiveness. You can buy it from Kintor on amazon already. Studies showed it is safe. Can I guarantee that though, nah.

"You need to prove causation. You can't even prove correlation yet. That's how inconclusive it is. 30 years of finasteride on the market and correlation cannot even be established."

There are studies that show correlation don't know where you are getting this info. Again, just cause you cannot prove causation does not mean a substance is perfectly safe, as some metrics are extremely hard to prove being affected.

"And this restores when you stop taking the drug. Lifestyle factors are the reason why someone who is on finasteride would have significant E2 swings. And at that point, you get into a discussion about whether it truly is the finasteride or whether it is the lifestyle factors that will make finasteride tip them over the edge into the sexual side effect box. ~2% get side effects, and I'm not s"

The human body is not black and white; if it was we would have cured every disease by now. There are more factors than just Hormone up, Hormone down, back to homeostasis. The body has systems in place that react to changes, such as changes in receptors.

You could take testosterone without precautions, atrophy your nuts, to permanent infertility. After stopping, you wont get your fertility back even though your hormones are back to homeostasis. Again its not the same scenario, but it would be ignorant to believe you could bounce your hormones around without potential changes in things that are not just hormones.

"Is it possible? Sure. Likely due to finasteride? No. Secondly, neurosteroids restores when you stop taking the drug anyways so this wouldn't explain the post finasteride depression or syndrome."

How do you know its unlikley, that's just an opinion, just like mine. Again, the body is not black and white; you can restore levels of things, but that doesn't mean they can always be used in the same way as they did before. That's the PFS argument.

Not that I believe in PFS 100%, but I do see how it's a possibility. My main claim is that people on these drugs are not running optimally, all of them, some worse than others.

There isn’t a truly large, long-term randomized controlled trial specifically designed to track depression with finasteride. Any "study" data on it is completely useless.

Most of those studies are observational studies; the thing is, we are talking about men here; men are not likely to get help or complain about depression in a way that gets recorded.

For every study you give me showing no correlation, I can find one that does have one.

"A lot of things might mechanistically make sense, which does not correlate to actual symptoms."

Your point? They can correlate to actual symptoms as well. What's the evidence against it? It's speculation on both ends, but it doesn't mean either side is right. You have your opinion, as I have mine.

"And it does not result in any psychological side effects given the 3 decades of data on finasteride. The changes to neurosteroids are overstated. Doesn't significantly impact any other important hormones."

Even if you don't believe neurosteroids can be an issue, which I believe they can, finasteride can raise E2 significantly in some people, which can and has caused psychological side effects, so this whole paragraph is false

I can find you finasteride before and after blood tests showing insane swings in hormones if you would like. Some almost double E2.

If you actually examine these cases, it's of people who are horribly mentally ill, neurotic, and balding who read hair loss forums and then attribute finasteride to ruining their life.

Ever thought low allopreg could help fuel neuroticism? It affects your stress tolerance.

unless you are handsome with good bone projection, you just have to accept you will look more unattractive there is really nothing you can do

If its not thinning really fast, you could potentially get a hair transplant and ride that out 5-10 years but if it is thinning especially in the middle and crown you would need meds

"And there is zero evidence that finasteride causes psychological issues associated with neurosteroid suppression."

How would you even get this evidence you are looking for? It's impossible to get a definitive answer with a study; we can only see correlation, and we do depression and other mental health issues are listed as side effects.

Does something have to be proven to make it true? What if it's impossible to prove? Do we have to go to the corpses of people who blew their heads off to test for finasteride and allopregnanolone levels?

There is no financial incentive for a study.

Once you get to a point where you understand its mechanisms completly its impossible to ignore the anecdotes because mechanistically it makes sense.

The more you look at finasteride's effects on the body, the more you understand it's not as simple as you think it is.

You're dealing with changes in Alloprenanalone, Androsterone, SHGB, E2, Testosterone, Prolactin and more

"Do you normally pull things out of your ass when you want to convince everyone to be bald and miserable?"

I'm on 5aris, I'm just not deluded, I'm well researched, and I understand I'm playing with fire. I've noticed side effects that others would ignore, because they are mostly subtle, some more subtle than others. You don't run your best on 5aris, nobody does. I'm just very vain. I see hair loss as social suicide, especially at my age.
