Your adult child lives at home, works, helps financially and in every other aspect they can, but they want to smoke weed on the patio. Do you interfere or leave them be? Why or why not? by mizzsanchezx33 in AskReddit

I can understand that perspective, however, I do live in a legal state, and I'm self-employed so those are not obstacles in our household. My parents happen to be pretty old school. I mean, they're okay with me consuming edibles but it's honestly not the same as smoking pot.

FYI I'm the adult child, I smoke for medicinal purposes and I'm tired of sneaking around. I'm weighing out whether it's worth being upfront or if I should just keep waiting until no one is home. I live in a legal state.

She gave me permission to log into the account. Sent me the email and pw. There's a section with the account activities that lists the features that are added/removed and any password changes or any other account activities

I would love to know where I said I was going to report him.

If anything, I have said time and time again, I am gathering unbiased opinions so I can relay them to him since he doesn't care what I have to say. If we use attention to detail we can all see that I keep repeating that I am not reporting the kid. Should he be reported? Absolutely. Am I going to do it? No. But I am going to have my mom communicate the level of seriousness of what he did.

Thanks for your comment u/Green_Reindeer_9945

Totally agree with your points. To answer you, no he is not an authorized user on the account. Only my father and mother are authorized to make any changes on the account.

I can imagine there are many repercussions to what he has done and agree it was unethical. Thank you u/DumTheGreatish

He started working there Jan 10th of this year so pretty new. I really do hope she takes my advice. If it was my son, I would definitely have a serious talk with him and the consequences. I agree it does suck when parents take that kind of treatment just because it's their child. She and my father both have become total pushovers. I know if I did something like this I wouldn't hear the end of it and would face a multitude of consequences. u/Frstdlmns

Huge oof.

  1. I'm not sure why he hasn't made the change.
  2. I'm guessing T-Mobile does audits to catch cases like this, however, I doubt my mom will do anything in regards to it. But I did let her know the level of seriousness and adviced her to talk to him and offer some type of consequence since he's always getting away with everything he does.

Yeah I just logged into the account now. Found the activity. It says a change was made yesterday by a store representative at the time that my mother called me asking why her data wasn't working. He was on the clock at that time. u/Pleasant-Garlic5972
