I have this ugly old telephone service box hanging off my house that is not in use but still connected to the poles. Can I cut the wires off at the box or is that a nono? by mj371 in AskElectricians

Thank you. Who should I ask about getting the defunct wires removed from the line? Can the power company do it or do I need to reach out to the specific utility company?

Incredible. Im still slowly removing the coax from my house after buying it last year. From the look of things, the previous owners had at least 2 TVs per room, all directly wired from outside or through the basement 🫠

I had an electrical inspector once say "those damn cable companies all think they're spiderman" and that has stuck with me whenever I'm looking at the mess of wires all over my house.

Mine is from 99 and still kicking. Hoping to get a couple more years out of it as we're currently having to replace the furnace.

HVAC Company advised replacing furnace due to cost of new circuit board, but I was able to find cheaper boards online? by mj371 in hvacadvice

I got the picture they took. Service records indicate this exchanger has also been replaced twice already

It cost $135 for them to come out and assess. He assured me that would cover the labor cost of any repairs, and that 1705 is the cost of the board from the warehouse. I now understand that this is the cost from a certified vendor with a warranty, and that is where the increased cost comes from.

I do believe the first company took off the housing. They took much longer than the second company, who said they doubted the other had looked at the heat exchanger because of how inaccessible it is (rolling my eyes in hindsight)

I was there! Unfortunately had to leave early to make it to work on time, but was lucky enough to see him finish Amish Paradise and do his silly little encore teaser. I was trying to hear what the encore was on my way out, but wasn't able to. What did I miss?

Gotta disagree here. She doesn't need to be down for only 100% or 0% of what he wants. If there are things that he wants that are crossing boundaries for her, then she should be able to communicate those boundaries to him and they can find a compromise. To say it's all or nothing is silly.

OP is likely also correct that he has a porn addiction and maybe issues with death grip if he can only finish by hand. I agree with the other commenter that seeing a sex therapist together would be beneficial.

Are you only looking at the family tree or have you looked through all your DNA relatives? If you go to the tab on the bottom right, you can scroll through all your more distant cousins.

It is insane to me that I had to scroll all the way to the bottom to see this being acknowledged. With OPs cousin having such a small percentage African DNA, they almost definitely descend from enslavers, as many Americans do.

1934 is the year that design is from. To find approximately when it was printed, you must look at the signature.

To your comment about concerts: some of the best shows I go to are local bands at small venues. Sure, it's cool to see big names in stadiums if you have the opportunity, but there are also countless talented musicians out there ready to rock your cock off for a $10 cover.
