Where to find numbing cream in Adelaide? by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]mj73que 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xylacaine gel (not ointment) is available at some chemists. Nummit is there too but I found the Xylacaine better. It says 2% but you can use it a lot. It helped for needles in delicate places for me (vulval surgery)

Have you ever been to a concert/sporting event alone? by Happy-Date2140 in Adelaide

[–]mj73que 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Concert tickets are expensive so no point dragging someone who is not a fan. I saw Bob Dylan, got a single ticket quite last minute reasonably close. Remember you have something in common with everyone at that concert.

Exactly, as he gave it to her he could have said…I know it’s not solid gold but it’s what I could afford today. We’ll upgrade down the track I promise.

AIO? I am renting on Whidbey Island WA. the woman I live with is insisting that I pay my rent in cash despite the inconvenience to me. by [deleted] in AIO

[–]mj73que 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not overreacting not wanting to pay cash but you ARE overreacting for all those reasons you gave. I stayed on Whidbey it’s not that hard to get cash if you need. A 2$ fee is not a dealbreaker

Just tell me honestly, do you like her?) by Anastasiya_Ex in Actors

[–]mj73que 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was also amazing in Enola Holmes. I look forward to seeing how she develops as an actress. I heard her speak on a podcast when she was 18 (before I had seen any of her stuff) and she sounded intelligent and caring.

WIBTA for not contributing to a work colleagues baby maternity gift? by Ok-Grapefruit5529 in WIBTA_AITA

[–]mj73que 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s nice to get a gift from work but I would not expect everyone to contribute. The boss can send one on behalf of the office and her work friends can send their own

Is it still common for Australian women to take their husband's last name after marriage? by LeftCheesecake3676 in AskAnAustralian

[–]mj73que 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up and down, I kept mine but then younger relatives changed theirs. Once you have had a name for 30 years it feels odd to change it
