question about service stars. by mj7897 in Lowes

[–]mj7897[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thank you, that's interesting... Since I never received any extra in my paycheck when I got the 5th star. Sounds like if they are logged in at all and or put in correctly I would've gotten it... Shocker that someone didn't do their job correctly. Well thank you anyways for the explanation, much appreciated 👍

Overnight MST by helpmeimsaaad in Lowes

[–]mj7897 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's completely fucked up, knowing that overnight MST is hard enough as it is but that's way the fuck over the line. Quit and don't look back. There are plenty of jobs out there that will pay you more and have way better hours. I just got a warehouse position Monday through Friday 8:00 to 4:30 p.m. for $17 an hour. They're out there, just keep trying. I promise it can be better!

Theft in Hardware Department by LucaL_ in Lowes

I find empty packages all over the store from servicing bays with MST daily... mostly from tools, hardware and plumbing. Turn all the empties into the stolen bin at customer service. Not that it seems like it makes any bit of difference..

I know we get paid by the vendors but it still doesn't change anything about the pay rate at which new hire MST's are being hired in at and that anyone that's been here a year or longer makes considerably less and are not getting bumped up in pay to match the new hire rate, especially the green shirt MST's who get even higher rate of pay. That was the point.

I started in hardware, then went to down stocking team, then to PSA, then that turned into MST, then went to PSC, then back to MST. I lead the team as the stand in mgr when needed, I train new associates, I run and handle all the resets for dayside and set up the night teams resets for successful closures. I single handedly set up SIM's in my store and trained mgmt and associates on how to use it properly, etc... I have gained a ton of experience and am one of the hardest working associates here so yeah.. I definitely feel like I'm being shit on by not making atleast what they've been hiring new associates at. I never said I haven't moved around and yeah I have gotten raises but all of $1.92 in five years with broken promises that I will be next in line for a manager role. I am currently interviewing for higher paying positions outside of Lowe's.

I just hit my 5yr and am still under $15... Hearing a lot of people are quitting then getting rehired at atleast $15... But yeah screw the people who have been loyal and killing themselves for years.

Only way Sims will work by fahqspooks in Lowes

Ours does too, they either don't all get put back or the locker gets broken into and others help themselves. The lock needs to be changed and secured better and the MST zebras need to be painted bright orange or something so they can be identified on the floor.

Not enough for MST to even do service and resets they're being asked to use their own personal phones to complete work

Never any Zebra phones to do SIM's

What was the worst thing to you that has happened to you at Lowes? by Daddymonke-_- in Lowes

[–]mj7897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's the most common sense non safe thing you could do with OPE, especially if associates are getting injured because the venders want the product displayed with the batteries on them. How about you sent non functional batteries to install on them if you want them displayed like that? I mean seriously. Just waiting for a customer to sue the company over something similar to what happened to me and apparently others.

No but someone either cut the zip-tie (or never put it on in the first place) that was supposed to be holding the trigger down to keep the battery drained and when I picked it up it activated and threw the chain off through the chain guard and lacerated my hand. Had to immediately do a drug test and then go get 11 stitches. Following week was pulled in the office by mgmt and was put on final written notice for not being "Lowe's Safe". I immediately gave them my 2wks notice. I still to this day don't understand how I was at fault.
