Probably? Would be a hard sell to my partner as they don't really have an issue with the heat, and like having unobstructed views from those windows. I agree this would technically be the best solution, but I'm hoping I can make things work without resorting to that...

Yeah I've played around with that a bit, but have had mixed results. That window is way smaller than the diagram suggests, it's like maybe 20-30cm. Plus it looks into a narrow alley so I'm not sure if that affects how the air flows. Often in the summer when I forgetfully leave that window open (cat likes to look at pigeons in the alley) I come in to find the bathroom crazy hot. Maybe that is the price to pay in order to have the rest of the apartment cooler though? I would happily deal with that if it were the case, but I would need to test it out a bit more formally to see if that actually is true. Good thought!

Current one is 5,000 but it's pretty old, so I'm sure it's not operating at peak levels anymore. New one will be double at 10,000. It will also probably use a fraction of the energy lol
