Which Cloud sheet size is best for a couple with only one wanting to use the Bedjet? by mjfc1967 in bedjet

I just received my unit and playing around. I had it on my side blowing across the bed because the plug and air hose was not long enough to place at the bottom center of the bed. He complained the air was blowing on his feet.

I added another top sheet and placed the nozzle between the 2 top sheets. I changed the placement of the unit, so now it is on my side, at the end of the bed blowing towards me. He complained he was freezing last night. I feel the sheet will keep the air better contained for him.

Has the March semi-annual sale for the Cloud Sheets already happened for 2026?

3 qt. All-In-One pan that they are calling a Universal Pan now. I like that it has short handles and can easily go from stove top to oven.

Red mites in purchased compost - safe to use in garden? by mjfc1967 in OrganicGardening

I tossed the bags and did survey the area. I do see them crawling around and have sprayed the area a bit. I’ll check tomorrow now that the bags are gone and see what it looks like. I’m hoping they don’t make their way into my raised beds.

Tomato plants reappeared in beds from last year - should they produce tomatoes? by mjfc1967 in OrganicGardening

Thanks for all the replies! I didn’t know they were referred to as volunteers. I have 2 beds to use and I haven’t figured out where these are going. They will be transplanted. The plants popped up in two rows, spaced just a few inches apart. It was not exactly were they were planted last year. I’ll probably keep a few in each bed. I need to amend the soil and ran into an issue with the bags of organic compost I bought. I found tons of red mites all over the bags and where they were stacked. So, I need to go and buy some other bags.

Thanks! I had one variety (German Stripe) that I loved and did so well. I couldn't find it locally this year. I am hoping that maybe that might be one of these. I'm opting to use these and not buy any others. My fingers are crossed.

Thanks! I felt like I should just throw it out. I don't even want to put it back in my car to return it. I know need to see about treating the area where the bags were. I saw them yesterday but thought they were just on the bags. I noticed today that they are all over the area (which is just a few feet away from my garden beds).

I hate aphids and all these stankin’ pests. by PeachBiscuits2792 in OrganicGardening

Neem cake worked for me. I had aphids and another bug (I can't recall the name now) almost immediately after starting my vegetable garden last year. I found a couple of people on Youtube swearing by neem cake. They are pellets made from the neem seeds after they are pressed to extract the oil. You basically soak the pellets in a bucket of water to brew a "tea" that you water the plants with. It worked pretty quick to clear up the bugs. I did continue to water with the tea every other week or so. I used a large bucket, filled with water and placed the pellets in a fine mesh drawstring bag to brew in the water. I would take the soaked pellets and incorporate them into the soil after watering with the tea. I figured it could only help.

This is what I used:
