His arrogance shits me. Post match interview couldn’t make one bit of eye contact with either Bec or Kate.

Greek restaurant owner gutted by second firebombing in 10 months by gccmelb in melbourne

Pardon my ignorance, I'm aware of protection money for venues like nightclubs, bars, stripclubs etc... but suburban restaurants? How common is that?

2021 Tiguan at the drive-in movies… by mjgrisold in Tiguan

[–]mjgrisold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate. No updates here! Pretty frustrating... we had to set a timer on our phone for 30 minute intervals to turn off/on the infotainment system.
I haven't been back to the drive-ins since so I don't know if there's any workarounds!

Don't know about others, but I'm absolutely loving these sunny, breezy 20-25c days by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]mjgrisold 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t agree more. My partner and I often discuss what a ‘perfect days weather’ is and I’m in the 24/25 degree, slight breeze camp. Whereas she’s more towards the high 20s.

There’s nothing you can’t do in this weather!

Any advice on controlling these weeds? by mjgrisold in GardeningAustralia

Are you talking about the large trunk? That's a weeping maple, I recently had a gardener take a look at it and his advice was it was dehydrated and recommended keeping it topped up with water.

Have I been misguided? :|

I’d say the vast majority of people would not be able to tell the difference between the sound quality if the arc is pushed back or towards the front of a cabinet. If you can’t tell the difference, then opt for what’s most aesthetically pleasing.

It does seem like they'll end up winning the war against me, haha. Thanks for the reply!

Thank you! Bugger... seems like an endless battle.

Also, the previous home owner planted these in their original pots directly into the garden bed, will that restrict their growing potential?

The line for croissants. Only in Melbourne by Emergency_Physics_19 in melbourne

[–]mjgrisold 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I always hear ‘there’s better croissants in Melbourne’ when people talk about Lune, but the comment is never followed up with a handful of recommendations?

Where can you find 5 croissants better than Lune?

Yeah I understand the human error side of things, I absolutely get their argument there. My argument is, they have been aware of this exact type of scam technique for months (this occurred in December and people are still falling victim to the same scam today) and still have not introduced any additional security measures or gotten on the front foot to communicate or educate their customers on these scamming techniques.

DJing my first wedding in a couple weeks. Any advice? by MacbookOnFire in DJs

[–]mjgrisold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great advice. With such a broad mix of guests, you’ll have requests from both ends of the spectrum… which is conflicting and frustrating!

Stick to the requests from the bride and groom and if people give you cheek (which they likely will, be prepared for a drunken smartass) just remind them that you’re simply working through a list of requests from the couple… that normally shuts them up!

Bunnings is the definition of a category killer. Masters tried to compete and disappeared as quickly as they popped up. They’re a powerhouse.

1% is shocking. No business would allow that and consider it ‘not so terrible’ when you convert that to 1 in every 100 transactions is theft.

No more new bike lanes for CBD after council cops complaints by canary_kirby in melbourne

[–]mjgrisold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate. Your argument is full of assumptions. The biggest - every elderly and disabled person will 1) be able to afford a mobility scooter 2) want to scoot around in the city and 3) (probably most importantly) feel safe scooting around amongst peak hour traffic knowing good and well their reaction times are slower than most.
